All together it is a pretty light- it can be dressed up or down by taking the pendalogues (glass bits) on or off and by adding a shade or not. Assembling the light- add all the bits while working on a well lit table and use a drop cloth- these glass pendants leave a fine dust of glass and you will be itchy like rolling in ye olden fiber glass insulation :(. ..... I purchased two (2) of the Black Crystal Chandeliers for my Master Bedroom. The chandelier has a couple of issues. The biggest one for me is the clear candle plates. Six out of ten were damaged. They are scratched on the top and or the side. I realized this after the chandeliers were completely installed. I contacted Amazon to see if they could send replacements and was told that the entire item must be returned. REALLY??? My husband wasn’t about to uninstall two chandeliers another just installing them. The beads are made of cheap glass and were very tedious to install. I’ve had other chandeliers so in comparisons these were worse. The chandelier arms move. It’s a real pain to try to get them set so that the bead swags are the same. Overall, I wouldn’t be as disappointed if the company would have just replaced the candle plates ... show more
