Re-ordered and got it in 3 says from amazon. There were a few times I was not able to close the safe, had to push on the door for lock to engage. It's a big, heavy, strong beast. Make sure you totally understand how big and heavy it is before you order it. Luckily, the shipping company that Amazon used for this was perfect. Very professional, and no damage at all to the packaging. It's very well packed, and quite tough, so it can handle some abuse before it gets to you, which is good. I like having a key-backup, in case the battery dies, or someone forgets the code. And it's done well on this safe. It's strong, it's sturdy. Seems quite "safe". Adjustable shelves. One small issue: I do wish it sealed better. I have a portable-rechargable dessicant style dehumidifier in the safe, and it needs to be re-charged quite a bit for winter. Summers here are really humid,so I'm going to need to look into putting some sort of pliable sealant strip around the door so it seals better. ... show more

    • Cheap plastic battery cover on inside of door.

Upon opening my safe for the first time I found the cheap plastic battery cover with hooks for keys or jewelry was already broken and hanging by the one unbroken catch on the back side. Cheap, cheap, cheap. This little door is suppose to be pushed in and then down to hold in place by catches on the back. Safe came with only one catch not broken already and hanging by that one inside the safe. Complained and new battery door was sent quickly. In process of installing new battery door, one of the catches broke immediately. Cheap, cheap, cheap. The safe is what it is, something that will keep only the most amateur safe cracker out, but I knew that before buying and would have given it a higher rating anyway except for that cheap battery door.     • THE DIAL WILL NOT STAY ON. SELLER WILL NOT RESPOND TO THREE EMAILS

This safe has issues. The first safe I was sent was damaged from the outside. The second safe had a scratch but is hidden where I have placed it. The setup is difficult. It came with dead batteries in the dial so I had to remove the dial, put new batteries in and the dial does not want to stay attached. There is very little to the instructions. For the price, I think this safe SHOULD be better quality. You must open the safe with a key when the batteries are dead. The inside of the safe is nice and it is sturdy but what good does the safe do for security when the dial won't stay on and the seller will not even respond or replace the dial. I am disappointed and will contact Amazon next. ... show more
