  • Well-made Beast
Style: 21 Inch Push Mower-X6
I was pleasantly surprised by this mower. It's designed very well. The placement and feel of the controls are logical and operate with a nice solid feel. It's handsome in appearance. It's heavy yet maneuvers well once you get it out of the box and rolling on it's wheels. The power to the blades is fantastic. My old mower stopped working so I hadn't mowed my yard in about 3-4 weeks. I was concerned that it was too high to cut. The reason I say this is that my old mower was a Ryobi battery-powered riding mower which would not fare well with this amount of grass. The mowing deck on my old machine would consistently bog or stall when trying to tackle tall grass and I would required several passes to cut. This Senix mower didn't "bat-an-eye". Power is definitely not lacking. On the downside, it was difficult to push through the tall grass but was doable. The battery life wasn't long enough to cut the entire yard but I think the excessively tall grass had an effect on the runtime as the motor had to work much harder. I live on a 1/3 acre lot and got through about 70% of the lawn before it stopped running. Another note worth mentioning is that I live in Florida and many lawns, including mine, consist of crab grass which is not a soft grass (and does not cut easily). However, I believe if the grass is cut every week or two, the battery would last longer. Because the battery was completely drained, this gave me the chance to use the charger which came with the mower. Although I didn't time it, I'd estimate that it charged from 0 to 100% in 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Given the size of the battery, I was expecting that it would take several hours to recharge. On a side note, I did investigate the cost of extra batteries and they are expensive - over half the price of entire mower listed here. Overall, I'm pleased with the mower and would buy it again. ... show more

  • Great mower with a few things that need improvement
Fourth month of owning this. Battery has started disengaging from plug on mower with virtually every push. I don't get 5 ft. What a waste of money. Waited a month to review this mower to see if it developed any issues. First the good: Very quiet Cuts well Has flat sides that allow you to cut within an inch of walls, flower beds, etc. Light-weight Easy to maneuver Charges fairly quickly (about 2 hrs) The needs improvement: Battery seems to last go dead noticeably faster with each use. Mower is being used for trim work to reach spots riding mower cannot and has to be recharged now to finish trim mowing around a 3 BR ranch house. Wish this had option to use with cord instead of with battery only. Would seem manufacturer could sell an adapter that fits into battery compartment as an add-on. Next mower I buy will have this feature. Battery has to be pushed into mower very hard to engage mechanism that locks in place. Almost sent this mower back as defective before first use because I could not get it to start because battery was not fully locked in. There is a faint click followed by a loud 'click' when it is in. Neighbor has to help me put in battery to get it to work (bad shoulder). Blade stops cutting about five inches from front of mower. Redesigning this so it cuts nearly flush like the sides would be a huge improvement. As is, expect to string trim (weed-eat) any space only accessible by pushing mower into wall. ... show more

  • Live, Laugh, Mow
Style: 21 Inch Push Mower-X6
I didn’t think I’d ever have strong opinions about a lawn mower, but here we are. This electric mower is basically the overachiever of yard equipment. First off, the battery lasts about 45 minutes—which, coincidentally, is also the exact amount of time I’m willing to spend pretending I enjoy yard work. Even better, it recharges quickly, so if you do feel the sudden urge to keep mowing (or you missed a patch and your pride won’t let it go), you’re back in action in no time. It’s also surprisingly quiet. I’m used to gas mowers that sound like they’re auditioning for a NASCAR event, but this one hums along politely, like it doesn’t want to disturb the neighbors or my internal monologue about how I should’ve hired someone else to do this. Now, the headlights. Yes, headlights. On a lawn mower. Because apparently, someone out there is living a lifestyle where nighttime mowing is both necessary and thrilling. I haven’t quite reached that level of chaos yet, but it’s comforting to know I could. If things go downhill, at least my lawn will look great at 10 PM. And finally, it’s blue—my favorite color—which obviously adds at least 20% more motivation to use it. Does color affect performance? No. Does it affect my emotional attachment to the mower? Absolutely. Overall, it’s efficient, quiet, mildly futuristic, and just a little bit ridiculous in the best way. Would I recommend it? Yes. Especially if you’ve ever looked at your lawn and thought, “What if I handled this… but make it slightly cooler and possibly nocturnal?” ... show more

  • Worked Great Until it Didn't
Style: 21 Inch Push Mower-X6
This lawn mower is, as my teenager described it, a "beast." Decent battery life, not terribly hard to push even when not in the turbo mode and cuts through even relatively tall "post-vacation" grass. However, after about 6 weeks the battery would not engage. We determined that it appears to be because the little lever that is designed to disengage it got stuck in the disengage mode. Of course, outside of the Amazon return window. Sent an email to Senix customer support and started getting marketing emails, but no response to my customer complaint after a week. Called Senix today. Got a very unhelpful kid who appeared to have very little customer support training. They want proof of purchase and a video of the problem. I guess we'll see. In the meantime, the grass has to be mowed so bought my second relatively expensive mower of the summer. This time I just went with a gas one though. Something this expensive should work for at least a few years. ... show more

  • Awesome electric mower
Style: 21 Inch Push Mower-X6
This is a really sturdy mower with multiple features. I mowed my lawn, I mulched some leaves. It’s also very powerful. I’m only giving four stars because the battery doesn’t charge all the way. However, unlike other charge devices the battery charges in less than an hour. I love that it also folds up easily for storage. It is a little on the heavy side for a psh mower, but I haven’t found that to be a problem. Great mower for when you have a decent sized area where it would be ridiculous to buy a rider. ... show more

  • Cuts Like a Champion!
Style: 21 Inch Push Mower-X6
I have only used this machine a few times but it cuts like a champion, the battery charges up quicker than I thought it would and seems to last long enough to cut the grass portions of my 1 acre lot. It had no problem busting through long wet grass (yes, I know, cutting wet grass is bad according to the internet) and the unit seems very well made and cleverly designed, and it is noticeably quieter than a gas model, it sounds a lot like a box fan when powered up and mowing. Unfortunately, I had to update my review because recently I put the battery in the mower after charging it and the mower blade would not spin even though the mower showed the battery having a full charge. I put the battery on the charger and got a blinking red light, which is bad and I have had to go back to my old gas mower, which I am glad I kept. I e-mailed Senix and haven't received a reply, my guess is that if I buy a new battery and charger it will work again but I hesitate to throw good money after bad, the company evidently doesn't stand behind its products. OK, I am changing my review yet again because I was able to connect with the company and they sent me a new charger and battery, which solved the problem. I used the mower today and was reminded how much better it is than my old gas Toro. I was reminded of how light it is and how easy to push and it has wide wheels which don't leave as many grooves in the grass as my old Toro. This is a smash hit at the current price and I sort of want to buy another but don't really need one, but will certainly look into other Senix tools that take the same battery. I am back in action and beyond happy! ... show more

  • Lawn mower died after less than 3 months
Style: 21 Inch Push Mower-X6
It worked great...until it didn't. Easy to use. I was able to cut very high grass without it stalling. Usually it took me 2 battery charges to complete my 1/3 of an acre lot. I had the lawn mower less than 90 days before I started to experience issues. The battery would not stay in engaged when inside the lawnmower. I was able to start the lawn mower but as soon as I started moving the lawn mower would die. it's a known issue at Senix. Their customer service team has not very helpful or accommodating. There's has been a lack of communication on their part. I'm still waiting on my refund. ... show more

  • Don’t be hesitant
Style: 21 Inch Push Mower-X6
I could only find a few reviews on this mower but all of them were 5 stars. I was nervous to spend the amount of money that was asked for but I decided to just give it a shot. This is my first electric lawn mower, but I have to say, I am not disappointed. This has the power and quality people claim it has. The battery life is pretty good, but for as much as I use it, I’m considering a second battery. My wife uses this mostly and loves it because it’s light weight and easy to push. She tends to get close to an hour on a charge and she’s able to bag everything up with the included bagger. I would recommend this mower after using it myself. ... show more
