This is great for backyard debris. It got jammed once but that orange dial on the back near the top where it says Open Cose, is for handing that. Unscrew to open and that will let you tip back the orange part where you can see what's going on. As lso for switching blades down the line when necessary. Unplug first! And definitely use protective eyewear so you don't ruin a fun day of shredding to go to the walk-in clinic to have a minute piece of wood removed. Easy set-up, handles good size branches. Anything larger I will give to a neighbor for kindling. Larger branches I will use chainsaw and give him for firewood. But this is better than waiting for a very calm wind at 1 am in order to burn. I've included a photo with a handful so you can better tell the size I'm very happy with my purchase and recommend it for even the older adults.

I used this chipper for the first time today (3-26-26) after cutting down branches leaning into an overhead electrical wire. The maximum diameter of branch chipped was just small enough to fit in the feeder. The number of branches chipped was maybe 50. The chipper worked like a beast. It exceeded expectations. Hopefully it performs as well in the long run. The chipper was easy to assemble and yet very sturdy for a little guy. Super easy to move around due to the wheels and light enough to pack into the back of my cross-over hatch.

The motor is powerful and well matched to the suggested max diameter branches – rarely stalls. The chute expels the chips into a fairly focused area. It is lightweight with wheels – easily moved and carried by one person. Reduces branches to a small fraction of original volume and into a beautiful fine mulch. It has safeguards to keep the user from being injured during use. This is so easy to use - just turn it on and push the branches through. Gravity and the unit generally pulled the branches through once it got started; and required very little force. Since it is electric, there isn’t any residual surface oil for the chips to adhere to. Hence, there isn’t much to clean after the job. As with any cutting tool, in time, the blades will get dull. The manual suggests blade replacement but does not state how to obtain a replacement. The included hollow plastic plunger tool broke after a few hours of use - not very useful if it isn’t going to last. The unit isn’t unbearably loud – less than a chain saw – however, earplugs or hearing protection is recommended. Make sure the electrical extension cord is rated for 15 amps. I can’t think of any reason why I don’t like this product - it works great and is well-priced, 5-stars. If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review. I grabbed the SENIX 15 Amp Electric Wood Chipper/Shredder to help keep up with yard debris, and after using it two days ago on a pile of broken tree branches that fell in my backyard, I can honestly say it did exactly what I needed it to do — and then some. We had a tree drop several medium-sized branches after a windy day, ranging from thin twigs to thicker limbs close to the 1.6-inch cutting diameter limit. The SENIX handled them surprisingly well. As long as you feed the branches gradually (as you should with any chipper), it chewed through them without bogging down. The 22:1 reduction ratio is no joke — what started as an awkward, messy pile of branches turned into a compact bag of mulch that was easy to spread around my garden beds. Performance & Power The 15 amp motor feels strong and consistent. With a max speed of 4000 RPM, it spins up quickly and keeps momentum even with harder wood. I expected some stalling or constant jams, but that didn’t happen. The chipper pulled branches in smoothly, and the shredding sound stayed steady instead of straining. Ease of Use Setup was straightforward, and the unit is light enough to move around the yard without much effort. The 1.3 bushel collection bag is a nice size — big enough that you’re not stopping every few minutes, but still easy to remove and empty. I also appreciate how stable the unit feels while running; it doesn’t walk around or feel top-heavy. Noise & Safety Like most electric chippers, it’s loud, but not gas-engine loud. Ear protection is still a good idea, but it’s manageable for suburban use. Safety features are solid, and I like that it feels well-built and not flimsy. It saved me multiple trips hauling branches to the curb and turned waste into useful mulch instead.
