Received one of the multi-color bulbs as part of a special when I purchased my Echo. Put it in a lamp and it worked great so I decided I needed more so I could control lights in other rooms. Bought a three pack of white (non-color) bulbs. First of all found out that the distance they can be from the Echo in order to work is fairly limited, but they CAN link together to increase the distance. Not a big issue and have one in a back bedroom that is paired with my Echo Dot that is closer than the Echo. When they are all connected and working as intended, they are great. Brightness is comparable to standard LED bulbs and they can be dimmed. Love having schedules to turn lights off and on and being able to control them by voice commands. However, I have experienced a few times where Alexa has informed me that the bulbs have become unresponsive. Don't know what caused the issue as there was no evidence of losing internet connection or anything, they just lost connection and do not reconnect on their own. This last time, I had to completely "delete" them from my Alexa app, reboot my Echo and Echo Dots, and basically start from scratch to get them to work again. They have now been working flawlessly for about 2 weeks, but I feel certain I will at some point will be going through it again. Now I'm not so sure of their reliability in turning lights off and on for security purposes while I am away on a trip. So I have mixed feelings about these bulbs. They are great when they are working, but a pain in the butt when they don't. Not sure whether other brands work better or are more dependable or whether Smart bulbs as a whole just have these problems. If I need to buy more smart bulbs in the future, will probably do some research and try another brand. ... show more

I opened the box; screwed the bulb into a socketand based on past experience turned the switch on then off rapidly three times WHICH in fact caused the bulb to momentarily blink on and off then on. I needed this bulb for the inside of a pantry where I have an Echo Show 5 within arms reach. I did as it said in the instructions on the box thebulb came in then and said, "Alexa, discover my devices." Less than or around a minute later the Echo Show let me know it found the Sengled bulb at which time I was able to easily change the name to Pantry Light. Very, very simple. Maybe TOO easy based on all the one star reviews. This installed so easily I couldn't believe it. There was no need to download a separate app even. Nothing. As I said at the beginning of this review, I added the extra step of turning the switch off and on quickly three times in an effort to make that a way for Alexa to discover the device (Sengled bulb.) I'm not sure that step was necessary but it was done before I could believe I could actually put away the step ladder andmove onto something else. Incredible! Not sure how it would go using just an Echo Dot; you probably have to go into the Alexa app to change the name. Using an Echo Show 5 for sure, they could have made it esdier by including a robot for you to tell to screw in the light bulb for you, idk. Wow. I am very, very satisfied customer. DONE already, (for a change.) Thank you. Definitely more than 5 stars for eade of installation, wow. Low energy consumption and long life bulb too if the information on the box is accurate. I have purchased these Sengled integrated smart bulbs before and I am pleased with them. They work great with our Alexa devices and the app. My reason for this review is the expensive, fragile bulbs were shipped in a thin (unpadded) plastic mailing bag. One of the packages inside was smashed. The bulbs appear to be unbroken. I don't hear anything loose in their thin cardboard packaging. I have not tried to use them yet. 🤞 They were also delayed in arriving for several days! ... show more

This product works very well, the integration with Alexa is excellent, it is easy to adjust the brightness of the bulb from the Alexa app or from the voice command through Amazon echo. It should be noted that this device only has connection via Bluetooth not Wi-Fi, I purchased a package of 3 bulbs, and the three are connected through a Bluetooth mesh network, also keep in mind that unless you have a amazon echo device these bulbs will not work. ... show more

Love the fact that I do not need a dimmer switch since the lights are so smart that Alexa can set the lighting to a certain % and even if I manually turn on the light switch it will turn on at the preset setting and not go back to the default as I had expected. It took me a bit getting used too but I like I have complete control over my lights either by flipping the switches or using my phone app or my Dot. the Price is actually not bad considering the life expectancy. We only had them for just under a month. Review update!!! well, we had the lights now for almost 3 months, and twice did Alexa lose complete contact with the bulbs, we had to go through a 10 min bulb resetting and repairing to get Alexa the Dot software is up to date so I am not very happy at the moment, I do not want to keep having to reset the bulbs. So will be checking out some other bulbs to see what's going on. Seen a few reviews where this was happening with this particular set of bulbs. I can’t live without them. Being able to use my voice to turn on lights is the best. If I get home after dark, I can use the Alexa app on my phone to turn on the lights, so I don’t walk into a dark house. If you have an Alexa, you need them.
