For those who need a small 3-inch face plate fit and finish excellent! need cleaning has oil residue and machining chips inside be careful. It has a grub screw for locking down to the spindle on the lathe 8TPI. Back the screw out and make a leather patch so you don't damage your threads. t comes with screws for mounting. ... show more

I haven't had a chance to use it yet but it seems by the build of it will work just fine. The screws they give you aren't very strong one broke when I was screwing it in in and another bent slightly, they could be a little thicker. I now have used it 7 times and the screws were the only problem.

    • Nice screw chuck, runout on my lathe was very good. Very secure with the mounting screws.

This works great, have already used it 7 times. I marked the threads of middle shaft with a silver Sharpie where the flat area of the shaft was so that I could make sure the set screw tightened on the flat, not the threads. Nice addition to my lathe accessories.

Arrived fast. Works well for small turnings but has no set screw so it may not work well in reverse. I did sand a small piece in reverse and it didn’t come off.
