We have only had these bikes for a few weeks, but the assembly was pretty darn easy and the bikes came as advertised. They are sturdy and heavy, but that is what we wanted. It is a very smooth ride on the extra large tires. All the components are working and the bike does have good pick up on acceleration in the pedal assist mode. We just wanted some fat tire ebikes to knock around the neighborhood and parks, so these fit the bill for the economical price compared to name brand bikes in the category. We are not using them as hard core weekend warrior mountain bikes, so we hope they last and get us around for a few years. The batter so far has stayed pretty well charged up. We have only put a few miles on them and we will soon ride them to empty to test the battery duration. Hope this helps.

And this review is just as much for my shopping and customer service experience with Amazon as it is for the Archon Pro ebike and the Senada Bike company. After receiving the Archon Pro ebike delivery (very quickly and seemingly undamaged) we followed the instructions that came with the bike to assemble it. Not very much information with the instructions , left a lot to be desired for as well as with operating instructions as well. After assembly was complete we took the new ebike for our first ride, took a little figuring out but all was great, a lot a fun! During the second ride the power to the ebike completely shut off (with a full battery) and would not power back on. Had to walk the heavy bike back home to try and figure out what went wrong. That was, sadly, the last time we rode the bike. After making sure all connections were solid and the battery was ok (checked with multi meter, it read 54.6 v for 48v bat) I immediately contacted Amazon and Senada. After all it was only 1 day old and has a 1 year warranty. After weeks of getting run around from both places, taking hundreds of photos and videos and sending countless emails, texts and phone calls Amazon ultimately told me they could not help me, that I needed to contact Senada directly. The treatment we have received from them is even worse, if possible. Complete avoidance, stall tactics and no assistance or resolution. And I know what they are both trying to do, stall until the return window has passed. How incredibly shady and sad. I paid $1,000.00 for a bike that worked 1 day and now it's even too heavy to even use as a regular bike! What a joke. Do not waste your time or money as Senada will not help you when the bike fails and Amazon won't either. BUYER BEWARE!

This was a big investment, at least for me, so I felt it was my duty to write a review. I LOVE this bike. Now, if you are worried a pedal assist will take away from your workouts, don't be. You will still get your exercise in but just go farther and faster. It is easy to adjust the pedal assist (PAS) up and down 0-5, with 0 being off, level 1 assists up to 6 MPH, level 2 = 12 mph, level 3 = 18, level 4 = 24 Mph, level 5 = 28-30. I should mention that you will not be able to appreciably add any help to the motor past level 3, and at level 3 you really don't add to much so your legs are spinning very fast, which is fatiguing in its own right. That being said I took this bike out on a full charge (unplugging within a few hours of full charge per manufactures recommendation to increase distance) and made it a solid 50 miles at level 3 before I ran it dry (also recommended not to run the battery dry to preserve longevity). On the topic of longevity, these batteries are 500$ on Senada's sight, they make no claim on battery longevity, however i've read about 2-3 years before you start to notice big changes in capacity. Didn't consider that before. On a full charge, you can use the throttle to reach 30+ MPH, good times! This does not last long however and after about 4 miles or so the voltage drops and your topping out at 24 Mph, but it will maintain > 20 mph on throttle for ~ 10 miles, then you'll be at half battery. Speaking of half battery, you best be 15-20 miles from home when you hit half, it will chew through bars much quicker after half charge. As much as I love this bike, it is a pig unpowered. I weigh about 155, have ~ 15 lbs on the cargo rack as I am training for 100 mile trek, I have been training on this bike unpowered, and when I'm fresh I get around 10-11 MPH on average on flat terrain. In contrast I get 12-14 cruising speed on my mountain bike (29 in tires). There is a way to change the speeds at which pedal assist with work up to, you can change the top speed to 25, default is 100 and means no top speed, from my experience as for as PAS is concerned 26-100 result in the same values as I've stated above, 25 and below is level 3 = 8 MPH, level 4 = 12 mph, level 5 = 15 mph. At 15 Mph I feel I can actually add a good amount of power in my strokes, so I feel this may be the best of speed and battery longevity, but I've yet to test it at distance on a full charge. Oh yeah, the seat is very comfortable, I added a gel cushion and its like ridding on air. The pedals... aluminum and no grip, even wearing good traction shoes I found my feet slipping of the pedals with just a little moisture.. No good. Pedal are thankfully pretty cheap though and easy to replace. I did have to adjust the derailleur right off due to a few sticky shifting issues, but works fine now, and no I had never done it before, easy enough with you tube.
