- [ Larger Than Others ] - Compared with other 36-inch similar products, our 40" x 40" square fire-resistant mat provides larger protection area for raised fire pits of different sizes and shapes, such as propane fire pits, bonfire pits, burning barrels, charcoal grills, chimney outsides, etc.
- [ 6 Inches Between Fire Pit & Mat ] - Ensure your fire pit or grill is at least 6 inches above the mat to prevent heat transfer to the ground surface. DO NOT let fire pits sit directly on the mat and NEVER build a fire directly on the mat, or the ground would get burned.
- [ Humanized Design ] - High reflective edging for visibility at night, to prevent tripping and falling.
- [ Safe Use ] - 4 stainless steel edge grommets allows the mat to be staked to the ground even in windy days.

EXCELLENT MAT!
Provides the protection needed when using any of my camping stoves or fire pits. Recommended.

Heavy duty construction
The mat was purchased to protect our hunting tent floor. Should work well as it is a heavy material and looks well constructed.

Great Heat Shield For Pellet Grill
I hung this up on my deck railing behind my Pit Boss to make sure that any generated heat from the grill wouldn't melt or damage my deck railing. Simply hang by the grommets and make sure that you cover the top rail. Works like a charm.

Lightweight and heat resistant
The Semmiro 40" x 40" Square Fire Pit Mat was a perfect way to continue to use my old outdoor wood burner on our updated deck. My burner is only 24 inches in diameter, so the 40-inch square offered ample space to catch stray embers and even have a little space to hold extra wood. This would be great to bring along on a day trip for under a hibachi grill, especially since the mat comes with pegs to hold it down in case of wind. I like that it is clear which side of this mat is up toward the fire with a "This Side Up" tag on the burning side, with a reflective strip along the edge and the additional safety of the opposite side being bright orange. The Bottom Line: Semmiro's Pad for Outdoor Wood Burning Fire Pits is within the price range of other similar mats at $36.99, but I appreciate the unmistakable safety features of Semmiro's.

Protects the grass !!!
100% protects your grass. Great for a moveable / non permanent fire pit. No more dead grass crop circle.

Great product
It reflects heat very well, just as advertised 98% reflection. I used it in a hot tent on snow. After whole night wood stove burning, snow under stove did not melt at all! Normally the stove will sink down. It feels a little heavy due to the big size, but that’s as expected, it is for car camping or home use. Only downside is it can be slippery on top surface when wet. Be careful when step on it.

good quality / works
Thick, padded, good quality. Like the rubbery underside keeps stove from slipping due to non level ground, bumping, or walking over pad with feet.
