I used U-Line rigid mailers years ago and wanted to get similar rigid mailers minus the high price. So, I tried to figure out which brands offered the highest quality rigidity at the best price. Unlike some competitors, ABC listed their GSM which I appreciated. I read a lot of reviews and picked 3 similar sizes by 3 different brands. ABC was the only brand that provided anything close to the U-Line quality rigidity. The other two brands were a big disappointment. So, I plan to order more of these. I can't speak to adhesion bc I always reinforce the closure with tape.

I've shipped a few CD's cross-country via standard USPS First-Class Mail and have received compliments from recipients on how well these mailers have held up in the transit process. They do feel sturdy in the hand when loaded, and the adhesive on the flap feels like it won't open; however, I opt to add a piece of heavy-duty Scotch packing tape below the easy-open strip for extra peace of mind. I haven't shipped any photos in these yet, but I feel they'd also hold up well all the way to their destination provided you insert a thin piece of cardboard that's as rigid as a CD as a backer. Without the extra reinforcement, it may be easy to bend the photos. I feel these mailers are excellent, and I highly recommend them for CD shipment.

(May be compensated) I am an artist and I use these to mail original artwork or prints to clients. They are sturdy enough to mail globally, very easy to use, just the right thickness, the perfect size for 8” x 10”, and the kraft color is easy to write on with a sharpie. Perfect!

The mailer saved me from needing to gift wrap my gift book. I mailed a card plus a 10 x 12 paperback book with 25 physical pages and a front and back cover. It fit well into the mailer. The mailing labels adhered well. I then decorated the mailer using colored pencils and markers, so it can be placed under the Christmas tree, with no need to gift wrap the book.

Look, call me boring but I like my Starbucks coffee the same way as I like my rigid mailers. Stick with what makes you feel good. I’ve ordered these stiff mailers for years. They are reliable, sturdy, and perfect for my needs. I mail vintage photos by placing them inside an archival plastic top loader, and then shipping in these. Never had any damage from the USPS.
