I'll keep this simple; this was one of the cheapest options available, the tallest stand for a GoPro, and could arrive between 4 and 8 the next morning. Sounded like it was too good to be true, but it really wasn't! This think did EXACTLY what I needed. The height is great, and while it came with no instructions, it took seconds to figure it out. I'll warn you that it was a little hard to pull it to full length the first time, but I think that's just because it is made well and was tight from its first usage. I would image that if it weren't that tight, it would self-collapse pretty easily, which would be bad. Just give it a good pull and it will extend as designed. I don't know if they advertise it like this, but it can also work like a selfie stick - I just noticed that when I collapsed it. I have a Hero9 and bought this to record my son's wedding that I was officiating. We did it on a rocky beach, but the adjustable feet made it pretty easy to get it stable. It was quite windy, and while I may have rocked a little here and there, it stayed firm. Bottom line: don't let the low price or availability scare you - it worked great for me!

I purchased this for my Osmo Pocket 3 and Action Pro 5. I originally purchased a Joby tripod that was a similar design to this but was nearly $70. I pulled it out of the box and knew right away I was going to return it. This was a fraction of the price and felt so much better built. I like that it came with the action camera mount as well as I use the threaded head for the pocket but need the action camera attachment for my Action 5. It is a bit on the bulkier side, but I don't feel like I am going to break it. Still compact enough to just toss in the water bottle holder of my backpack and make it easily accessible. I did notice while doing time lapses in the wind, you can't have the selfie stick portion extended too much or you are going to get a bit of wobble in your footage. My one grip is that the extension portion is locked by a threaded ring. I just tend to leave my unthreaded to make for quick extension and retraction. It isn't a deal breaker by any means. I honestly love this over the Joby. And the price tag is far better for what you get.

This stand is an outstanding value! Compact and sturdy, it is easy to change the height and no locking mechanisms needed for light cameras, or phone mounted on the stand. It is prefect for my DGI Osmo Pocket 3 camera.
