    • Helps to Minimize Leakage for Heavy Wetters!
As a nurse caring for a severely incontinent family member at home, leakage has been a frequent issue. Unlike standard liner pads, which have a waterproof base, this product has a "wick-through" type design. In the past, we had tried adding standard liner pads or maxi-pads inside of my mother's incontinence undergarments, but as soon as the pad became saturated, the urine overflowed around the edges and leaked over the sides of the brief. Due to the plastic backing on regular liners, the absorbency of the undergarment itself is wasted. The Select pads solve that problem by allowing both the liner *and* the underlying pull-up to absorb moisture. The only potential downside that I would mention is that these pads are a bit thick - similar to a maximum absorbancy sanitary napkin, which adds a bit of bulk when combined with an incontinence brief. If you are looking for maximum discretion, I'd recommend the slimmer Medline Double Ups pad. If you're looking for maximum absorbency though, the Select Booster Pads have my vote! ... show more
