I bought this fireplace because I liked the size and that it can be a corner unit or go to the wall as a media center. We are not using it as a media center because our TV is too big. We put it in the corner and put trinkets on it. The heating unit is on the smaller size but as I checked most of them are. My goal was not for heating but for the ambiance. It produces nice flame, which looks real to my surprise. It is very sturdy if you want to place a TV on it. I do not care for the little shelves on the side, but they look nice with the light on. We followed picture directions and put it together in 3-4 hours. All the holes and screws matched, nothing was broken, Both boxes came at the same time. We have had it for two weeks and it is still working and heating. Our room is not big but open to the kitchen. it warms up the air , but do not rely on heating place so that you would not use the heating unit. I enjoy it for the looks. ... show more

After several days of trying to decide, we settled on this unit. Some of the reasons were the faux brick front, it does look good in real life, and the shelving on each side. We needed that since the replaced TV stand had shelving. It also was designed well for a TV and accessories. One concern we had was if the flame would appear realistic. It does, you won't confuse this with a real fire, but the 'flame' doesn't have a fake look, and probably better than many of the electric fireplaces. The fan motor is quiet and controls on the remote are good. The touch lights in curios are good, but we had issues with the on off function, that were our fault, we mistakenly thought the touch function was in the light itself, wrong. We checked the instructions closer and finally saw that the on function was in the hinge where the ground wire was attached, not the light itself. The pieces fit together and were packed well. This was purchased to go into a corner of our bedroom. We couldn’t be happier! It is a two person job really to assemble, but all the parts were there and they all lined up. We are quite pleased with how solid this furniture is. We have another corner electric fireplace in our office which was a little smaller than this one and a little less expensive. I feel that the smaller one actually has better flame realism than this newer, larger one, but it’s not bad. We haven’t had any cold weather yet so I can’t really attest to truly heating up the room when needed, but we have used it to take the chill off a few times. We originally wanted the dark wood one but it was quickly out of stock so we settled for the white. It was definitely a happy accident bc it brightened up our living room. Our 65 inch tv (it’s really around 56 inches wide) fits perfect on the stand. We had an issue with fireplace but customer service was quick to resolve our issue and received a replacement in couple of days. The media could not be loaded. First - packaging was superb- nothing broken or scratched. That also means there was A LOT of trash to dispose of. A plus on getting it here in good shape, a grimace on environmental impact. Quality - while not real wood , this is a quality wood product with a substantial finish and feel. Second - assembly was involved . I’m not sure one person could do it alone. Two of us, 2.5 hours, and a couple of clamps. Provide your own screw drivers - you will want both a regular size and a stubby one. All the hardware was complete and labeled. All predrilled holes lined up correctly, and instructions were clear. But wow! Complicated. Third - the touch light side lights- kinda cool! You touch the metal hinge and the light comes on/off. Only problem, only hubby’s hand works well! My skin doesn’t have enough ??? To keep the light on. Fourth- flame is realistic, with size from low glow to small fire. Would have liked larger flame- picture show it on maximum. Fifth- heat . We actually haven’t tried this yet- cold weather finally arrives this week. I expect it will be fine. Sixth- ambiance- a win! And it was an excuse to finally mount the tv on the wall and toss the huge tv console! ... show more

We moved recently to our little bungalow by the sea that had no fireplace. I was really missing my fireplace from our previous home. We searched and found this on Amazon and knew it would look perfect in our little place and add the warmth I was looking for. It wasn't as difficult to put together as I had been reading. It took my husband maybe two hours to assemble it and he didn't even cuss. LOL We did have one problem with the heater itself beeping continually even when you turned it off. WE would have to unplug it. I called the manufacturer and they sent out a brand new one to replace it within two days. I didn't even have to return the other one. So wonderful customer service. Looks beautiful, and the material on the furniture itself are decently sturdy. Unfortunately the heater is cheap, and it has some issues. First, couple times a beeping sound came off, which we were able to troubleshoot it and “fix it”. Now the heater stopped blowing hot air.
