I went from ebike to this scooter, primarily because of theft, and I'm old and don't like walking much anymore, and this thing just shows me how slow walking actually is. Scooters, by virtue of their size, are really an accessory for your day. It fits under and between everything. Takes me home as fast or faster than public transport, which is acres faster than driving in this city. Short trips from door to door. Longer trips are pure joy, if you stick to bike lanes for most of your trip, just driving this thing is very fun. Its max 22mph which is more than enough to pass cyclists and is faster than running. Dual suspension is very nice, dial it in as per your weight and what terrain your travel on most. Indicators (turn sig) are fab, fairly viewable by drivers behind you, very viewable by drivers in front. Piercing horn, that seems like a joke but actually gets attention within about a 30ft front direction. Tires are, well tires, ive not had to pump since I got it 660 miles ago. Lightly jump up and pull the bars with you to get over small 2" curbs, the suspension helps. Easy to read, Easy to understand, Easy to update, (Segway offer lots of little cool updates and upgrades). Its a bit heavy as a thing in your day, but not a big deal on one or two flights of stairs (if your under 50, double that). Headlight is bright enough for 22mph at night to see about 30ft in front. Rear light is bright easily viewable by drivers , and a choice on how it functions (like a car or a bicycle). Apple FindMy built in! Amazing!! There are other scooters out there for less, that do more, but this is my entry point, and I wanted something I didn't have to think much about. ... show more

  • LOVE it
Style: MAX G2-43 miles
Have owned for about a month now. I use this as my primary mode of transportation, and this is the fourth and most expensive scooter I've owned. I didn't realize how much a suspension matters and how much I've avoided longer distances. I had such a fun and breezy 25m ride from West Hollywood to Hollywood yesterday. Pros: - Smoothest ride of all the scooters I've ridden. - Comfortable on bumpy roads and longer commutes. - Sport mode is fun if you're agile on a scooter. Acceleration is quick. - Nice and speedy! Cons: - On the heavy side if you need to carry it ever. I strength-train 4x a week, so it's manageable to get down a little bit of stairs into my building, but I do have to brace my body hard to avoid tweaking my back. - The stem is TALL, so the handlebars sit notably higher than a city rental scooter (like Bird or Lime). It was an adjustment to steer with my arms higher (I'm 5'9"). If you're shorter than I am, I could see this being uncomfortable. Overall turning out to be my favorite scooter that I've owned, and a much less expensive alternative to owning a car in a major city if your commutes are mainly short/medium distances. Love being able to zip through traffic and avoid having to find parking anywhere. ... show more

  • Condition not as described
Style: MAX G2-43 miles
Was described as slightly used, this is a result of an accident. That information was not in the description. Not sure what how the previous owner treated this scooter, the throttle is very jerky, it is full on or off, the regen brake feels rough, and the stem is loose. The suspension was set for a heavy rider, Maybe buying slightly used on Amazon is not a good idea, not much of a savings, and yet a lot of not so safe feeling. ... show more

  • So much fun, if you’re thinking about it - get it!
Style: MAX G2-43 miles
This thing is totally worth it! It’s so much fun to ride around. The larger size, suspension and build quality make it quite comfortable, even on brick roads. Must have the extended range that this one does, and it’s still not enough. 22 is fast, but I wish it could go faster and last longer. It does have some weight to it, would not recommend to carry it. Have to keep it in sport mode for top speed, but it doesn’t go nearly 40+ miles on a charge when you’re having fun. The performance decreases as the battery drains. ... show more

  • 500+ Miles, worth the purchase
Style: MAX G2-43 miles
Intro/Overall thoughts: As long as you register the scooter with the application, you can unlock all its features and change the settings within. It goes 22mph on a full charge, but at about 70% battery, it drops to 20 mph. The only time I've noticed it not being able to reach 20 is when the battery is below 20%. Range works pretty well, on average, travelling around campus, I can get about 2 days' worth of riding even when limiting my battery to 80%. If it isn't listed anywhere, the NOMINAL WATTAGE is 450W. It provides 1000W when using Sport mode with Boost acceleration (which can take a while to "recharge"). I am a 155lb person, and I haven't run into any overheating issues. Weight: It's 55 lbs. A lot "heavier" per se than other scooters out there that can go 20, but they usually don't have the big battery for the range. It's light enough that I can pick it up and carry it up a small set of stairs or throw it in the back of a vehicle to take it places. I have gotten some bearing noise that started around 400 miles worth of riding, but honestly, I can't complain since it's had a lot of daily riding ever since I purchased it. Segway also directly offers replacement parts, and, being that the front wheel hub is only $60, it's a cheap enough repair considering the price of the vehicle. I'd have to say that part of that noise might be from rain/rust damage, since I don't think the front hub is completely sealed. The scooter is easy to unfold/fold, and has a locking tab that locks onto it when folded. Read some other reviews on people stating that their locking tab broke, but I'm honestly not sure how they did that. Security: You can set a custom passcode in the app to "lock" the scooter. 0-9 numerical 4-number combo, allowing for plenty of passcodes. Motor locks the rear wheel from moving when powered on, password if incorrectly entering the wrong passcode will shut off the scooter. This essentially, as long as someone isn't willing to go through literally 10,000. Precautions to take: This scooter goes 22 mph. You can cause SERIOUS injury to yourself if you do not respect this scooter. Do not take corners too sharply. Do not operate trying to hold the handlebars with your wrists, you need at least 1 hand on either of the handlebars at all times when moving. Avoid hitting large solid objects such as curbs or potholes (the manual says this). Other things to mention: Turn signals; They are mounted on the handlebars and very bright. You do have hazards if you double-press the buttons, which can be double-pressed to turn off. Pressing once turns them on in the direction you want, and pressing them again (in the same direction) turns them off. The headlight is turned on/off by a single press of the power button, it's honestly not bad for how small it is. Brake light can be set to go bright when braking or flash when braking, but that's when you're not e-braking. If E-braking, the light does go on. TL;DR: Good Battery, a bit heavy but provides the range for that weight, it folds to make it easier to carry, electronic lock. ... show more
