The controls work very nicely and I didn't even know the buttons light up, the 3 buttons on the front of the toaster. When looking for a toaster, you are met with a lot of decisions just to toast a slice of bread! This is a basic toaster. It’s able to lift the toasted bread nicely, so you aren’t digging around inside the opening and cooks. I like the CANCEL button. The price was decent. Also, it has a small footprint, so if you don’t have a lot of countertop space, this one is for you. I would buy it again.

I liked the smaller size although the slots don't allow for standard length bread. I guess you get what you pay for. I'd make better toast with a fork over a fire. Since it DOES work (if poorly), I plan to return it for an upgrade. I wish Amazon would just give me a discount on an upgrade and save me a trip to the UPS store. (*Seller has since offered me a full refund.)

I wouldn’t recommend this toaster. It burns one time and the next time the toast will come out fine, even on the same setting. Even after adjusting the setting we keep burning our toast. It doesn’t toast evenly, one side is always lighter than the other side. The only good thing I have to say about it is that it is really an attractive toaster. That’s why I gave it two stars.

I was searching for a lower wattage toaster because according to energy efficiency evaluations lower wattage still performs well but uses less power. I had posted a question asking for verification of the wattage because it states 900 in the body of the description but 750 in the description title; according to the seller it was 900. I purchased anyway and as the attached manual photo shows it's 750 watts. Arrived yesterday and appears as described, red color matches my other appliances I have in red from other companies.
