While this toaster has LCD display, it is not Touchscreen. The six buttons on the bottom are used to control the LCD settings on the main screen. And they are regular mechanical buttons that you can feel push in as you press. Worse, the controls toggle through the different bread types and it only goes clockwise so if your choice is just behind the last thing you toasted, be prepared to go all the way around. Same for Toasting levels. Also it doesn't remember a level for a specific item. If you like your English Muffin crisper than your Toast, then you have to set that EVERY TIME. They seem to have recognized that and have an "extra" time button, but it seems to add more than one level of time to the timer. Basically they used technology to make toasting something more difficult. I returned it and went back to Oster. I love this toaster but got 2 defective ones before a final working one. The first one only toasted bread once and then wouldn’t heat up anymore. The second one, the lever would not stay down. Getting past that, it is very nice and the breads stay fluffy or soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside. It’s perfect. I like the look of the toaster. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the lever doesn’t go all the way to the top. You have to hold the lever up to get the bread out.

My old toaster was on its last leg. And It was like some of my coworkers,it worked when it wanted to. So I ordered this bad boy as I’m a bagel aficionado. When you select the bagel setting it only toasts one side of the bagel so make sure it’s facing the correct way. It toasts up nicely
