I love Hot chocolate, so when I saw this, I was curious how much better my hot chocolate would be. I’ve had a few milk frothers (electric milk frother, and 2 hand held battery operated ones). I absolutely love this frother/ hot chocolate maker. I read some reviews about it not working and just stopping out of nowhere and it made me think twice about the purchase, but since Amazon is so good about returns I decided to give it a shot; I’m really glad I did. My problem with my other electric frother is that it wouldn’t get the milk hot enough and I couldn’t froth with the chocolate powder in it. So I resorted to using a hand held frother. I would microwave the hot chocolate and then froth with the hand held, but by then, the frother cooled down my milk too much. This frother is PERFECT! It warms and froths perfectly at the same time! And to clean it is so easy. The jug and the little frothing disc come apart for easy cleaning (which is a negative from the electric frother whose parts can not be run under water). One thing I wish is that the frothing disc were made out of metal. That’s probably the only complaint I have. I will say that I ran into an issue while making hot chocolate. People complained about it stopping and not running again, that happened to me when I added the powder while the frother was running. All the powder I guess fell to the middle (where the disc is) and it seemed to jammed up the disc. I took the jug off and stirred it a little and tried again and nothing. I tried it several times after that and still nothing. So I poured that milk into another glass, poured fresh milk into it, added the powder before I turned on the frother and ran it again and it started working again. I made 3 hot chocolates in a row right after that incident and it worked perfectly. I read the instruction manual and it mentions that the powder may get the disc stuck but should start up in 2 seconds. I don’t think that was the case with me, but then again, I may not have waited 2 seconds for it start back up because I didn’t know that. Overall, I really love this hot chocolate maker. It comes out so delicious.

When my Instant Pot frother died, got this as a replacement. So much better. The Instant Pot was "non-stick" but after a year, milk would scorch and stick to the bottom and was difficult to clean. The Secura, not only is easier to clean but can go through a dishwasher if needed. Fill markings are very easy to see as well. It's a little louder than the Instant Pot, but nothing to complain about. Only thing I'm not sure about is if there is an auto shut off when the milk reaches temperature. I just let it run until my Moka pot is finished brewing and I'm good to go.

I love this little machine! I make matcha lattes with it every single day. It has already saved me hundreds of dollars on Starbucks. I’ve also made delicious hot chocolate. Doesn’t match the quality at Starbucks because they’re using very expensive steaming machines, but I’m ok with that. Pros: extremely simple to use. One attachment for “stirring” and another for “foaming.” Simple to clean because the cup is separate from the heater. Makes drinks that are just hot enough without burning your mouth. Cons: the “stirring” attachment is temperamental. Sometimes it doesn’t want to spin. But I don’t know that until I already have a full cup of liquid. So I’ve had to use tongs to pull out the attachment & put it back on. It spins easier when lubricated, which makes sense. Foam: Soy & regular milk produce good foam, oat & almond milk don’t. I usually just want my caffeine in a hurry so I don’t bother with foam. But on a really cold day, you can’t beat a cup of hot chocolate with some sweet foam on top!
