It has been recommended that this product be used with James Hardie siding. My painter had no clue how to apply it, and even though I explained to him that the caulk bead needed to be larger than normal and it wasn't supposed to be tooled, the resulting caulk job came out horrible! It's so lumpy that it looks like my painter had a bad case of the shakes. I fired the painter and was resolved to remove the bad caulk and redo it myself, but that's where the problems really began. This cr@p is so hard to remove! It is tearing off the pre-painted finish of my James Hardie siding. I talked with the caulk manufacturer and they said the only option for removing this caulk is to cut it out. There aren't any solvents to help remove this mess. Now my job has tripled in time and effort. I am considering using my multitool with a caulk remover attachment, but I do not have high hopes. The included photo shows an area of the siding where the lower part still has the lumpy caulk and the upper part shows the damage that occurred as I tried to remove the caulk. ... show more
