Description

The Sea to Summit Ascent 25-Degree Down Sleeping Bag is a high-performance, versatile down bag, ideal for backpacking in a variety of temperatures and conditions. The mummy style features a shaped hood, oversized draft collar, and zipper draft tube to keep the cold out and the warmth in. High-loft, 750 fill power down insulation (Responsible Down Standard certified) is treated with proprietary ULTRA-DRY Down to improve reaction to moisture, retaining loft and performance in rugged conditions. The relaxed mummy shape offers more room between the hips and knees for a natural sleeping position, while vertical baffles over the chest prevent the down fill from shifting during sleep. Snug and cozy in the cold, the Free-Flow Zip System cools things down when temperatures rise: a full-length left-side zip, half-length right-side zip, and foot zip can be opened for ventilation or to turn the Ascent into a comforter. Bag can also be zipped to the Sea to Summit Women’s Altitude, Journey, or Venture sleeping bags. The shell is made from lightweight 20D nylon, and an internal pocket holds small essentials. The Sea to Summit Ascent 25-Degree Down Sleeping Bag is available in two sizes: Regular (max user height of six feet) and Long (max user height of six feet six inches). Includes Ultra-Sil compression sack. Sea to Summit products are guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product.

As a big guy I like the fact that this works as a quilt too, I camped in 45 degree weather this weekend and this thing had me waking up a bit sweaty in the night. Paired with the Xtherm neo air and man ive never been so warm and cozy in a tent. Love this bag.

I’m not skinny, so I had to return it. I also prefer a right hand zip bag, so two strikes. Sea to Summit makes really nice bags, though, and this one struck me no differently, so if you are cool with left hand zip and you don’t have broad shoulders, give it a go.

This bag has excellent features and looks to be very well made. Unfortunately for me it is not a good choice. I own numerous bags from mummy to rectangular and rated from temperatures of 0°F to 40°F+. I was hoping this bag would be more comfortable than the mummy bags I have and more like the semi-rectangular bags I have. Have yet to use the bag but it’s clear this is a lightweight high quality bag that is well thought out. The zippers did not bind and I love how you can vent the chest area with zippers on both sides.
