[Update Jan. 2025] After two years, the cat tree is getting loved to pieces. Literally. After all this time she springs around on it when we play and scratched one of the posts down to its bare wood with scratch marks on the wood, too. She’s going to need a new one but the price has increased almost $30 since I bought it. I can’t imagine getting a different one because she’s so used to this one. True to my hopes the platform easily fits her now that she’s full grown and although she jumps at full speed it is sturdy enough that her lunges never make it fall. It’s only that spot she choose for scratching that’s worn out. I’ll probably replace that section with a piece of carpeting and hope the price on these goes back down. I wanted a cat tree with big enough platforms that my six month old fur baby would fit into as she grows. If there is any product on the market that vendors mislead with photos, it’s cat towers. The only way to ensure you pick one with adequate sized platforms is to look at vendor photos with measurements. I wanted 14-15” platforms. That eliminated many of the options. I saw some with 9” platforms. Are you kidding? That’s the size of a pie pan. A lot of cat trees come with dangling balls. Once the novelty wears off, no cat I’ve owned goes back to batting one. It’s just an extra doo-dad not worth the extra cost. I like that this one is all about the platforms without any other add-ons. As others noted, my cat fell in love with this as soon as it went up. Let’s talk a minute about putting it together. I didn’t at first see that they nested the platforms inside the largest one on the bottom. I thought they left out several pieces and started making plans to return it. Common sense told me they couldn’t have made that big a mistake and then figured out it out. The shag carpet sorta camouflaged the two nested platforms inside the largest one. From that point forward putting it together was easy. Yes, it sheds shag fibers for a couple weeks but that’s no reason to not buy it. It’s sturdy and well made. My windows are 36” from the floor to window so I needed a relatively tall cat tree. The height of this one is perfect. The second platform clears the window and the third on top is, according to my cat, her favorite napping spot. I’m glad I bought this and look forward to seeing my cat loving her cat tree for a long time. ... show more

i got it on sale and it was an excellent value for the price. super easy and quick to assemble, pretty sturdy (it does not tip over when my cats jump on it). my cats didn't even wait for me to finish putting it together to get on it. the height is perfect, even my older kitties have no issue getting to the topmost level. the only thing is sometimes my kitties will have a small tiff over who gets which tier lol ... show more

My kitties love these. They are sturdy and compact for small spaces, and blend in nicely with your decor BUT the quality of the carpet since the last one i ordered (4 yrs ago) has definitely declined...I don't know that I would purchase another.

I have so many of these 3 cup cat trees in my house, the cats love them. This newet model has an opening in the top cup, not just the usual small notch out, which I think my cats are enjoying. Our two 20 lbs cats are a tight fit in the large cups, but they sleep quite comfortably in them. So there is plenty of room for "normal" sized cats. These are quality made with real wood posts, and very thick good quality particle board making up the bottoms of the cups and base. The speckle color choice of carpeting is really nice and appealing to the eye, and also seems softer than the other colors of carpet-of which I have brown beige, and grey. This is a good climbing and scratching piece of furniture for cats, and the sisal wrapped posts can be rewrapped, once your cats go through the original. It's fairly sturdy, but I recommend placing this against a wall, or in a corner. If your cats are anything like mine, they could tip it when they run a leap crazily, if it is not against a wall. ... show more

This cat tower is a great deal for the price. I purchased via Amazon prime, so shipping was free, but it did take a while. In addition, I love that it was all assembled except for the top perch. Buyer be warned, you're going to need a power drill to screw in the top part. I guess in theory you could do it manually with a screwdriver, but you'll probably bend the screws or it'll take forever. It's very sturdy, and each little alcove is more than big enough for my 13 lb cat. So far she's sticking to the lower levels, but if your cat likes to jump and climb around, I'm sure they'll love the top part. I will say, though, that the design of the tower itself doesn't really allow my cat to climb up to the top level just using the tower. I thought each level would be like a stairs situation where she can climb up each one, but the bottom and middle levels are too stacked to allow that. Just something to keep in mind if you thought your bigger cat could scale to the top just using the tower (they'll probably need another piece of furniture to help them get up there). Coming out of the box it looked pretty great but upon further inspection you can see how shotily it's put together. All of the seams of the material are not folded under so that if your cat begins to scratch there's nothing to actually tear up. With the way they have it all the seams showing with raw edges...I guarantee after three scratches it's going to start falling apart. As I took it out of the box there's all kinds of strings, there was all kinds of material already falling off, and all honesty it actually looked like it had been used. I went to pull of one of the strings that was sticking out and had to stop immediately because it started undoing the whole sewing of the carpet. From the description it sounded like all you had to do is screw the other bed on from underneath to the pole, which is how most cat trees are. There's no instruction whatsoever and there is these four screws that are just in the middle of the bed and I guess I'm assuming that they want you to screw those into the pole. But if that's the case your cats are going to be sitting on screws. Which is super not cool. There were no pre-drilled holes for the screws to go into in the pool So if you screw it up your cat trees just jacked. It really doesn't look like anything they have pictured. The scratching part with the rope is way higher than pictured. And it looks like the rope is coming apart already. Lesson here is you really need to physically see in person what these trees look like before you buy them because you just can't tell and you don't know the quality that you're going to get. ... show more

This Cat Condo is awesome! I have an 18lb, (tall and big built, not fat), cat and he comfortably fits in this condo. The round cubby-like places have great depth so that my cats can curl up completely submerged! It is not good, however, for "handyman handicaps" like me. I screwed the screws in by hand because I did not trust myself on "pre-drilling" the holes, as I had no idea what size drill bit to use and I did not trust that I could accomplish drilling it "straight". I got 3 out of 4 screws in flat, so I took the 4th out, as I could not get it straight in and one side stuck up. (This takes some arm and hand strength so don't attempt if you are weaker or have bad arthritis in your hands.) If they pre-drilled this for you, I would rate it a 5 star PLUS because it is made well and it is heavy duty for running, jumping and climbing cats and kittens, of which I have both! I know my cats will love this even more come Fall, Winter and Spring because they will nestle in. Right now we are in the Summer hot months so they are usually on the floor or couch sprawled out. ... show more
