Excellent sounding speaker. Loud and lots of mid bass. My only complaint is there is no cheating the mounting, it is a true 6.5"mounting diameter and if the basket is not all the way flush it will bend at the mounting point easily. Overall very impressed with the fit and finish.

    • You Talk about SOUND and PERFORMANCE for the $$, i removed a set of JL's to replace with these, and they are DOING IT!!
Building my system piece by peice, i was introduced to these and was not disappointed. If you need Clear, Efficient, Audiophile, grade sound for the money, dont pass these. They do have bigger brothers and cousins which perform breathlessly, but on a bang for the buck, these will not fail, PERIOD!

These speaker are such an incredible upgrade over stock. Easily fit perfectly in a 2008 4runner These were for the rear, I slo mounted the component version in the front. Incredible sound!

RETURNED THEM FOR A UPGRADE...DIDN'T SOUND AS GOOD AS I EXPECTED ON MY STREET GLIDE..HADNT GOTTEN THE REPLACEMENTS YET BUT HOPE THEY ARE WORTH THE RETURN SHIPPING ,PRICE ADJUSTMENT AND THE PRICE DIFFERENCE I HAD TO PAY FOR THEM.

    • Sound Pretty Good off of Factory Power
These sound pretty dang good off of factory power (my car has a factory amplifier). The bass tightened up compared to the factory speakers and the highs are certainly more detailed, if not a little brash. I think that'll tone down some (it already has), but it makes sense for speakers located in lower doors. I will eventually put something like 40-50 watts to these, but for now so fa so good. I'm very disappointed that Focal calls these "Integration" and "universal" but does not include appropriately sized 6.75" mounting rings (similar to what comes to Kenwood speakers). Just basic 1/4" plastic rings that will bridge the gap of typically large factory speaker hole cut-outs. I found something made my Metra, but still... annoying. The tweeter on these rotates. I'm not sure why considering it doesn't ANGLE when it rotates (at least not much). Maybe that's just for aesthetics? ... show more

These Focal speakers replaced OEM speakers in our motorhome. They are a huge upgrade and I have them running just off Nav/Radio unit with no amp. Set to flat tone they sound real good, boost the bass and treble some and I think they sound great. You can hear the air in the cymbals clearly, but they don't sound "tinny". I listen to classic rock mostly (Eagles, Dire Straits, Seger) when driving down the road. Previous comments about mounting are correct, they only have 4 mounting holes with not much tolerance for bolt locations. Instructions were very basic, would buy them again. ... show more
