This is my first ebike and so far I have rode it twice 20 miles and 30 miles and it performed very well. The only thing I don't like is it always shows that the battery is 100 percent, not sure if anyone else has this issue The battery stopped working in less than 30 days, contacted the company they said they would send a new one. 7/9/2020 The company sent me instructions on how to check the parameters and it was set for a 36 volt battery, set to a 48 volt battery and it seems to be working. Will update more after I take it for a long ride. Thank you SDU for your help with this issue ... show more

The bike requires an odd combination of steps to turn on the bike. It generally takes me about a half an hour to figure out how to turn it on. SDU claims it is a security feature, but it is just darn annoying. It just shouldn't be that hard! Oh, and there does not seem to be any customer support, so good luck. Beyond that, it seems like a decent bike. Update March 2021. Upgraded from 2 star to 3 star. One of the issues that we encountered was a faulty battery, which explains why it was so hard to turn on. While it took a while to resolve, Customer Support did send us a new battery to replace the faulty one. Thank you! ... show more

I have to say that e-bike is not a motorcycle. I bought it just for fun ride, not for daily commute. It's a great bike. Strong frame and wheels. The pedal assist works fine and may be ok for casual riding but I just use the throttle and pedal. And they've got a tool set packaged together for me. The tires are amazingly off road even for my son who always rides a mountain bike. I am 5'11" inseam and fit well and sear post is totally adjustable. The only problem for me is installation. It took a while by myself, but the video is helpful. The outlook is so great and we will see how good is the battery life one year down the road. My pals love it haha. ... show more

Bike was easy to assemble, came in just as they said on time, down fall with this bike is that the throttle doesn’t engage and the battery doesn’t charge to full capacity. After calling customer service trying to explain I only rode the bike twice and the battery is faulty they said send a video well how are you supposed to test that the battery bad by a video. Kind of ridiculous so now I’m waiting to hear back from their customer service to see if my battery will be replaced I’ve literally have had the bike 10 days. The bike is fast, the seat is also very uncomfortable but that’s the least of my worries. All in all I probably would not buy this bike again. Update: after going back and forth with seller I finally had Amazon intervene they finally sent a replacement battery that like the previous didn’t charge. So as a final solution they offered for me to take the bike to a local bike shop to see if it could be fixed well the problem is in the batteries and couldn’t be fixed they contacted the manufacturer direct and I guess that had been an issue with these bikes. So I had to send it back, I did get a full refund Pity because it was a nice bike. ... show more

additional review: Checking in two months down the road. We love the bikes! They are very well built and seem to be superior quality. The battery life is really been a pleasant surprise, the charge last and lasts. We try to ride 4 times a week at least 10 miles or more and we don't have to charge the batteries but once a week. And even then they are still showing a full charge. Also we received the promised bike racks and they are also strong and sturdy. But once again didn't include mounting directions. One thing I want to bring up so you are aware of this is the mileage and speed displays are not going to show you actual ride data. So you will want to use your phone or purchase a bike computer to keep track of your rides. I had assumed that it would when we received our bikes but it doesn't? I just downloaded a bike computer app and purchased a phone cradle for my bike and that was all I needed. On one occasion my wife had a flat tire so I had to leave her at another trailhead and ride on with our truck so I could come back for her. I maxed out the asset level put it in 6th gear and averaged 22 miles an hour for those last 5 miles. That was really fun! One more thing to note is you will need to purchase replacement tubes with a very long Schrader valve. 1st review: We have had the bikes for two weeks now and we really like them. My first e-bike so we are learning the ropes but the pedel assist and twist throttle really make bike riding enjoyable. At the start of our rides I keep the assist level low but by the end of the ride I increase it to finish. Longest ride we have taken so far is about 15 miles and the battery charge showed about 3/4. About a dozen big hills to climb on that trail! The bikes look good and the quality seems to be okay. Here are a few issues we have had. First when delivered the bikes had poked thru the side of both boxes. I didn't notice any damage to the bikes or missing parts. Second during assemble I had an issue with one of the bikes front disk brake mount. The welded bracket the brake caliper is mounted to is tilted toward the wheel so it was just out of line with the center of the disk. The screws even were hitting the disk when the wheel was turned. Since it was welded I couldn't adjust it but by adding a washer behind the fork and axial nut it increased the gap enough to align the disc with the caliper. Third the kick stand on one of the bikes feel off, that is pre-assembled so I didn't check them for tightness. Third the assemble instructions including the video are totally inadequate. Forth the seat post on one of the bikes wouldn't stay clamped in place as far as the angle. I had to purchase a replacement for it already. Fifth on one of the bikes where the seat post slips into the frame it wouldn't go more than 1 inch. So I pulled it out and noticed at the bottom of the slot a large burr, 1/16 of an inch. I had to use a rounded file to remove it then it easily slipped in. All these issues aside the bike is very well made. We are still waiting on the bike racks but I reached out to the company and they assured me they are on the way. I will add to this review as time goes on to update you on how it is going. ... show more
