  • Excellent Cable
Size: 6 ft
Used this for a tv to home audio setup and it works great.

  • Great value
Size: 6 ft
These cables are well made and very sturdy. They fit my optical ports perfectly and were very easy to install. They produce the same sound quality as the cables included with my soundbar. (Those were a little too short.) I'm very pleased that such high quality cables cost just $10.

  • A Great "Cheap" Toslink Cable
Size: 6 ft
This is a really good toslink cable in my opinion. It screams quality, very good construction and sports a nice look and feel. It's certainly of a professional grade without the high end price tag commonly associated with such things. I use this to pipe my TV's audio to my DAC in order to prepare the digital signal for my Hi-Fi/theater audio system. I really appreciate the braided cable, it really takes things above your typical plastic/rubber coating that you'll find on most inexpensive cables. For a test, I set it up on my true "hi-fi" system, for which I typically use a (high end) coaxial connection that "supposedly" has better audio production capabilities. With a fairly high end audio setup, I was barely able to discern a difference from the DAC's optical input and coaxial input...and what difference might exist is probably in my head or more likely, has more to do with my DAC's inputs than anything else. I would be totally happy using this is a fairly high grade Hi-Fi application, especially considering optical connectivity isn't something that will degrade all that much unless the cable is truly poor quality. Admittedly, I have nothing to measure the bits across the wire, but perception is most important in audio applications anyway. Overall, high value and reasonable price...what I look for in a purchase! ... show more

It's in name, high quality for reasonable affordability. I was made aware from 30 year low voltage cable techs about this company when it came to accessories as an an apprentice I just followed suit but found out it was facts

  • This one support Dolby Digital Plus / DD+ / Dolby D+ audio signal transport.
Size: 15 ft
We are the seller of the ViewHD product lines on Amazon. The optical port of our HDMI audio extractors supports the Dolby Digital Plus / DD+ audio signal. But from time to time, we heard complains, received negative product reviews from our buyers that our products did not support DD+, and blamed us for false product advertising. We have been troubled by such problems for some time, and not sure the cause of such big gap in our product verification and customer observation until recently, we found out that the problems could come from the quality variations of Toslink cables. We purchased Toslink cables from three sellers/brands on Amazon, 1 doesn't support DD+ at all (works fine with Dolby Digital), another has hit and missed with different products/AV receivers, and this one (we have the 15ft) has worked reliably in our products' DD+ validation/testing. Therefore, we come here to provide our recommendation. === Other details for sharing === For the worst Toslink cable we got, it worked fine with Dolby Digital signal, but once we switched to DD+ signal, the line was completely dead, the AV receiver didn't sense any input signal. For the other Toslink cable, it was kind of hit and miss. When it was a miss, the AV receiver produced noise, and in some cases, we had to work around it, since the line somehow appeared to required a strange conditioning setup. For example, we needed to first use DD signal and got the system working, then switched to DD+, and in most cases, it worked; but if we started with DD+, we got noise sometimes. With this cable, it is plug and play with DD+ audio setup, no struggle, no issue. • Solid, chunky cable and connectors
Size: 6 ft
Works well. Chunky cable and connectors, but it had no problem connecting to our Samsung television (external box) or the Sonos soundbar. Given the nature of optical TOS connectors, the gold-colored-plating and metal is kind of a joke, but it works well. Replaced an old Amazon Basics TOSlink cable with it. ... show more

  • Great cable, but does not work with DD+
Size: 3 ft
I ordered this cable specifically because of the comments about it working with DD+ on Viewhd hdmi audio extractors. I had tried with various other brand cables and had no luck getting DD+ to play without intermittent drop outs. I had high hopes after installing this cable, but unfortunately I still could not get DD+ audio to play smoothly. With this cable, the sound level would randomly dip about every 10 seconds like the volume was being turned down and up. Aside from not playing DD+ content smoothly, this is a very nice cable. The jacket is thick and provides adequate protection to the cable. The connectors snap into the receivers jack nicely with a pronounced click. I confirmed that the cable played regular Dolby Digital and DTS content without issue. I ultimately returned this cable only because it would not play DD+ content. That was the only reason I purchased it. DD+ is not officially supported over a toslink connection, but Viewhd claims it should work with their converter using this cable. I can attest to the fact that my receiver was showing a DD+ signal when connected via this cable to a Viewhd extractor, but it would not play smoothly. Since this is not necessarily a problem with this cable, since DD+ is not officially supported, I can't fault the cable. The cable is of good quality, just be weary of claims that DD+ can be played correctly using this cable or any toslink cable. ... show more
