  • Great controller
Color: Black
After almost 2 weeks of use I can say I would buy again.

  • TMR thumbsticks and companion app support make the new Valor a real upgrade TMR thumbsticks and companion app support make the new Valor a real upgrade
Color: Light Gray
The SCUF Valor Wired has been through a meaningful revision, and the result is a controller that earns its place in the premium category. The headline upgrade here is the switch from Hall Effect thumbsticks to TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) technology, which is a genuine step forward. Beyond the improved analog precision, access to the SCUF companion app opens up a level of customization that is welcome. That combination of better hardware and software configurability makes this feel like a more complete product. The magnetic faceplates carry over from the prior version and remain one of the better executions of that design in this segment. They seat firmly, do not shift during extended sessions, and swap cleanly when needed. Controller response is equally solid across Xbox Series X and Windows PC, with no perceptible lag or input drift in either environment. The instant triggers do what they promise, and the overall feel in hand is confident and well balanced. The rear paddles are where this controller earns its value for most users. They are positioned comfortably, require minimal adjustment to reach naturally, and map quickly to common functions through the companion app. The wired audio controls are a thoughtful inclusion for players who use a headset through the controller, though I would appreciate the option to reassign those inputs to other functions rather than have them fixed. On a similar note, the ability to map thumbstick cardinal directions to D-pad inputs would be a welcome addition for classic side scrollers that do not natively support analog input remapping, but this is a fairly specific use case and a minor point in the broader picture. For the price, the SCUF Valor Wired delivers a polished, performance-focused controller with meaningful customization and a solid build. The TMR thumbstick upgrade alone justifies the revision, and the companion app support makes the package meaningfully more versatile than its predecessor. ... show more

  • Not good
Color: Black
Idk where to start. If your a competitive gamer then you might wanna pass these. The short thumb sticks are so short and low on the controller that you cannot put any rubber grip sleeves over them without it rubbing against the controller. The stock stick grips are very slippery and have almost no grip, so you will have to put something on them. Taking the sticks out requires a decent amount of force, which I almost can guarantee if you switch them too many times, the TMR mechanism will break. They purposely give you 2 domed sticks which makes no sense because your thumbs will slip right off. What does that mean? Yes, you will have to spend an extra 15 dollars plus tax for the concave sticks if you want a tall concave stick. Talk about an easy cash grab. Fyi, the instinct sticks do not fit these. Kontrolfreaks dont fit these. Not even their universal ones. You might as well throw them away. I will edit this review after i test how the controller actually functions. Update: 5/20/2026. After many hours of testing and getting into a crisis with trying to fine tune the sticks that worked for me, it was a complete fail, and I will explain. The new TMR sticks create too many inputs vs older generations of sticks. Because the sticks have zero tension, trying to aim just became a lot more difficult. There is such thing as too much sensitivity. And the 1k polling makes it even worse. To make what I said more understandable, its very responsive, but its very difficult to pin point on your target. When I switched back to the victrix that has no 1k polling, I could finally hit targets. I spent many hours trying to find the sweet spot with the sticks but it made no difference. The tmr sticks are way too touchy and sensitive. I even turned the input delay 10 plus and it still was too sensitive. Until they release a controller with the option to increase stick tension, I wouldn't waste time and money with tmr controllers unless you want a major headache. Again, this is coming from a competitive gamer who places top 50 in the world. If you are a casual gamer then go for it. ... show more

  • My hands hurt
Color: Light Gray
I would like to start by saying these new endurance tmr sticks are fantastic! I wasn't expecting them to feel so precise! Tracking enemies with these things in apex legends felt really good as they allowed me to win many hip fire fights I'd typically lose with other controllers, for a new tmr stick scuf really did well with their design. But these sticks can't make up for how bad this controller feels. As a claw style player with medium sized hands this thing feels cramp! They're were many times I lost fights because I couldn't move my fingers properly because my hands would cramp up making them feel more sluggish and hard to quickly maneuver this small feeling controller. I only had this thing for 3 days but I did use it each day heavily for hours. By the third day my right hand feels bad as my pinky/ring/middle fingers all feel stiff due to said heavy use even when I stopped using it a few hours earlier, this is most likely due to the handles feeling.. let's say oval like and feeling like they were protruding into my palms making gripping the thing for long periods of time feel uncomfortable and causing mass discomfort overall, especially with claw style. Before this I used a g7 pro and I could spend hours playing claw heavily on apex and wouldn't feel a thing, but this could be due to another issue I have with this controller, the paddles. The back grip paddles on this thing are STIFF, they require to much force imo, there's also the fact they're placed in an uncomfortable possition by being a bit to high where your fingers rest, this probably wouldn't be to much of an issue if it wasn't also stiff because when I press them I press them with the connecting point of the first and second bone of my ring fingers which gets uncomfortable fast with how much force is needed. These are some of the worst grip paddles I've ever used, but full disclosure I've only used the Xbox elite 2/g7 pro paddles. I can't say much of the inner paddles since didn't like the idea of them so I removed them, but they where pretty easy to push with the tops of my ring fingers, just such a shame the grip paddles are so stiff. Idk where to put this so I'll put it here, when I play claw I have my finger resting the b and a buttons for quicker movements, however If I use this method heavily my finger will eventually hurt so to prevent this I have the right paddle of my controllers set to crouch so if a game has a sliding mechanic I can just use a back petal to do it so I don't over exert my finger and hurt it, however this method doesn't work due to this controllers stiff paddles and as a result I'm left with a choice of either risking my pointer finger getting hurt from over use or my ring getting hurt from the constant force needed to press these grip paddles. Maybe it's just that this controller isn't for me, maybe it will be perfect for your hands, but I tell ya when I hold this thing in a normal way it still feels like my hands would cramp eventually and if not then my ring fingers would definitely still start to hurt with how stiff and highly placed these back paddles are. 2/5 would not recommend this controller for its bad feeling design, ESPECIALLY if your a claw style player. However I will say that if scuf came out with a better feeling controller that used these endurance tmrs I'd definitely give it a shot. ... show more

  • Feels great in the hand, smooth buttons
Color: Light Gray
I usually use wireless controllers, but I've learned the value have having a wired one for things like fighting games where every frame counts and delayed inputs can be a problem. This is one of nicest wired controllers available. I do use it on PC. It feels great in the hand - it fits my average-sized hands perfectly, and the rubberized grips really help keep it stable. The face buttons are "normal" sized and have a good resistance (I'm looking at you Razer and your oversized hard to push buttons...). The triggers are smooth and it's nice to be able to switch between analog and digital modes (something I wish my Xbox Elite could do). Probably my favorite are the left and right bumpers. Those are very hard to get right, and they did an excellent job here of getting them the right size and resistance. They are easy to hit and easy to activate. The only thing I don't really like are the back buttons. But I don't use them, and at least they're designed to not get hit accidentally. But that's what makes them a bit hard to use. Overall, it's an excellent controller with great ergonomics and very sturdy build quality. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Excellent
Color: Light Gray
I really love this controller. It's super precise, customizable, and it feels very high quality in the hand. It's plug and play with console or PC, and it has a good weight to it without being heavy. It feels very durable and well made. Personally I like that it's wired, but it would be nice if it featured wireless capabilities with the option to run it directly off of USB...that would be the best of both worlds, and it would be nice it if came in a few more colors. Otherwise, it's a great value and overall a great controller. Compared to a stock MS controller, I like this better...it feels nicer in the hands and has more customization options. ... show more
