This really does not work well. The engine does not seem to have the power to throw out the fertilizer. The engine will slow down and almost stop at times and when you shake it to get it moving again it throws out a bunch of fertilizer through the bottom resulting in a possible brown spot on your lawn. ... show more

This thing was priced low and so easy and fast to use. I would have been happy with the crank model. I was so happily surprised to find out it works with batteries !! Just pull the trigger and get the job done quickly!! It was so good to find a decent product at a low price !!

    • Worked Ok the first time, but only that time
I was revved up to use it. First time, I used it for grass fertilizer and it worked reasonably well. I wasn't super impressed, but it was good enough. A week later, the same fertilizer. This time the motor struggled to spread anything. New batteries were in it. I adjusted the amount in the hopper. I shook it a little bit to try to help it work. Disappointed because the brand name on it suggests it has undergone rigorous testing before retail. Oh well. Returned it. Will keep using my 10 year old drop spreader from the same brand name. ... show more

Used it twice and great while it worked. Operative word when it worked!! It no longer works. It’s a piece of junk!!! In the recycle bin now!
