First issue was the shipping box was open and ripped and the Scotts box was opened. However, I inspected and everything was there and nothing looked used, cracked or broken. I was excited because it was light and easy to set up and use. I tested out the grass catcher for 3 or passes and it worked great. Tried the mulcher accessory and it also worked fine. Then I decided to mow the rest of my front yard as I was very pleased with its power, its low noise versus gas engine. But within a minute of doing that the noise changed, power decreased and I noticed a bit of smoke coming from the mower and that smell when the motor burns up. You will not regret buying this thing. Super lightweight and absolutely a breeze to mow. I think there's 5 different height levels for the wheels to adjust too. Battery operated makes this even better too and it's quiet. I mowed 90% of my yard with 1 charge. Great lawnmower!!

I ordered this mower in April. When it arrived I assembled it and began mowing. It worked like a charm, but the width was minuscule. That was my fault for ordering a 14". After four months it inexplicably stopped working. I tested everything and concluded the battery was defective. I contacted the manufacturer and filed a warranty claim. They were having supply issues with batteries and were unable to supply a replacement. Much to my surprise they offered and sent a replacement Yard Works 19" mower. I tried it out and it ran and functioned perfectly. It seems to be build stronger than the Scott's. Great customer service! ... show more

OK. Super easy to assemble. The battery don't last long. I got around 1/2 hour out of it. It dies if the grass is too high. That being said, if you have a super small yard , then its perfect. Its super lightweight, easy to pick up. But if you have even a medium size lawn. Its better to pick either a corded, or whole different model. ... show more

This is a petite mower. It really does look like a Transformer should evolve and start dancing around. I put the 5-gallon bucket next to it for a sizing reference. There is a plug piece that was blocking the bag from getting the grass inside. When you take the bag off there is a handle there and a plug...gotta take out that plug. Overall it is a fast and efficient mower that does a great job of cutting. It has been used repeatedly at least 3x's every 2 weeks and still carries onward. ... show more

It's light, quite, and pretty quick to assemble and put away. Other then that it's extremely weak. Doesn't feel like it's a 13Amp motor because my 21in mower 13Amp will not almost die and stop cutting on setting 3. I can get it down to setting 2 and do one single pass threw with my 21in 13amp mower thats over 10yrs old without it any hesitation or sounding like its about to stop running. This one you have to start on almost the highest cut setting then do a second pass threw and lower it as you go or it will not cut properly. I thought it would make it easier to cut my smaller walk way but now have to make 2 to 3 passes just to get that clean crisp line. So not sure it's worth it, but I've used it and it passed the return period so now will keep it just to do small odds and ends. Or if my older unit finally goes will have a back up if really needed. I would consider this machine to be more like a 14in/16in blade 10Amp Lawn mower that you can find anywhere for about $80 to $149. Definitely not worth more then 150 for this unit. If you can find it for much less then 149 it's OK. Definitely not worth more then that. ... show more
