For merchandising it's great, I can get all the product I need with this. This even can get 12 packs of you're careful. The only problems with using this for merchandising is that its kinda big and hard to store on the go (but it's also not for that) The head is also kinda sharp so it could damage the product if not careful. And lastly it spins under some light pressure. But overall the reach is great, it grabs, and it helps ... show more

I like this one better than the other brand previously. It is thicker and tends to hold and not collapse back as easily. I also like that it is not exactly a 90 degree and has a bit more hook to it, so it will hold on better. Seems like a great product and can't wait to use it more.

Maybe I just got a defective unit and most of them work fine. I was very disappointed! My experience: I extended the unit so I could reach the extend/retract lever on my RV side awning. I hooked the end of the opener rod under the lever and pulled to move it to the "extend" position. To my amazement, the right-angled piece of the opener rod just popped right out of the tube it was press-fit in to. I have since purchased the "old-style" opener rod made by CAMCO. This unit is not retractable, but it is solid formed metal, not an extendable rod and the right-angled portion of the CAMCO unit is not a press-fit as is the Scottchen. My advice is to KISS (Keep it simple silly) and go with the solid metal piece. Yes, it is longer and doesn't collapse...but it works and should provide many years of service. Thanks! ... show more

This product gives the average sized adult the opportunity to engage their shade /awning without carrying Moses's staff while traveling on the road in their recreation vehicle. It only makes sense to have something which is compact. It is silver and blue and very sturdy. The price is about right! ... show more
