Works great. FYI... It's not mentioned anywhere, the blue wire must be connected to a switched +12v lead in order to work properly. This blue wire is not for the amp turn on

  • Description is wrong. Did not work on my car, and caused some damage to it.
Style: 2005-Up Honda Antenna Adapter
Amazon has a system that tells you if an automotive product will fit your car. In this case, it indicated this product would fit my 2013 Honda CR-Z. It doesn't. There's not much more I can say, except do not attempt to splice this into your existing antenna wire. It's not a normal electrical wire and it's tricky at best, damaging at worst. ... show more

  • Antenna Review
Style: 2005-Up Honda Antenna Adapter
I have read a lot online about this project and people were constantly getting low or no reception on their civic. The majority of people said this is unavoidable. This was the same case for me. I even soldered the blue wire to the blue amp control wire, and the signal was mediocre at best. From what I have read over 60% of people are running into the same issue so I don't know why this issue hasn't been addressed. I am very upset about this, and feel the manufacturer should address this ... show more

Style: 2005-Up Honda Antenna Adapter
2005 Honda Odyssey Installed this antenna adapter between the head unit and the weirdo proprietary oem connector. It fit perfectly and with ample length. Radio reception is restored to expectations. Strictly as an optional, prudent step I sheathed the adapter cable in foam wrap to warrant against the cable rattling inside the dash cavity. ... show more

Style: 2005-Up Honda Antenna Adapter
Description is not accurate. It definitely does not fit a 14 Civic. I went to a local stereo shop and they told me that Honda changed the connector in 2012. It now uses an "Acura style connector". Check the application with Scosche prior to buying.

Style: 2005-Up Honda Antenna Adapter
It works fine, but it would be nice if they indicated what the blue wire is for. I searched the internet to find out and couldn't come to any conclusion. Different theories are floating around and different actions are prescribed for it, but it seems that overall, people are clueless about the blue wire. (I ended up not connecting it to anything, and my radio seems to work fine. I don't know if what I did is what I was supposed to do.) ... show more

  • Direct plug and play for the 2011 Honda Element EX
Style: 2005-Up Honda Antenna Adapter
This antenna adapter was a direct plug and play for the 2011 Element EX. The Honda Element EX FM antenna is powered/amplified so one can get radio stations from much further away. That is what the blue wire is for. I hooked it up to my new JVC head-unit's antenna wire and it worked well. I had initially thought this JVC wire was for a motor powered antenna that goes up/down but it worked fine. ... show more

Style: 2005-Up Honda Antenna Adapter
I have to second Christopher's reception issues. I am having the same problems with mine. I have also addressed the comment to the previous review regarding the blue wire and I have connected it to a power source and I still have reception that is much poorer than factory reception. I rate this 3 stars because its a possibility that my installtion is the cause of the error, but I am confident that this is installed as it should be. ... show more
