I bought this to replace the Metra double din kit for a 2004 Grand Marquis. You need to saw or dremel some plastic to put a double din radio in these cars. The metra kit was very ugly and left gaps where you could see the trimming I did. I bought this kit to replace that install, and it’s much better. The trim ring blends better as well. I did have to remove my dash trim from the car (time consuming but pretty straight forward) and install this “from the back”, the radio wouldn’t slide in from the front with this kit. No big deal. I used a small piece of weather stripping to fill a little gap and the results and good with me. Get this over the metra, much cleaner look. ... show more

Fit truck well but trim did not fit Boss Audio double din. Still was able to complete install but with out finish trim. It bothers me but no one else even notices.

Order it for my 2000 ford f350 it arrived in a bag instead of a box like shown. I had to trim my dash to get it to fit properly was still a tight fit and it doesn't fill it 100% like desired but overall it does work for the price

I bought this for a 2009 Ford Ranger and a Pioneer DDIN head. It is simply perfect. In order to use the DDIN head in the Ranger you will have to modify the shroud in your truck, but once you do this kit fits right in. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this kit actually "connects" the head to your shroud. You will have to completely remove the shroud from your truck to install this kit. Which, once I figured that out, I know it is the best way to fit a DDIN head in the Ranger. It gives the unit significant stabilization. The front piece is flimsy but, for me at least, not to a dissatisfying extent. It is only there for gap coverage anyway. If you've been wanting to put a DDIN or 2DIN or Double DIN receiver head in your Ranger - get this kit, a rotary grinder for plastic and you're good to go. ... show more

I bought this item to use to install a new touch screen radio in our 2001 Ford Escape. I only bought it for the rear support bracket and it is well worth it for this part alone. Little did I know that since the Ford factory radio doesn't have a dash trim plate around it, the one that came with my new radio was too wide to fit recessed radio area in the dash. The Scosche dash trim plate is slim at the top and bottom to fit the recessed dash area of the 1st generation Escapes perfectly. This kit will make your new radio install really easy and the rear support bracket holds the radio in place like a rock. ... show more
