  • Probably best for those with smaller feet. Really fun and easy to assemble
Color: pink
I have ALWAYS wanted a scooter - I don't know why, since I had never actually ridden one! When the opportunity to try this one out came around, I jumped on it. I have zero mechanical ability - zero - and even I was able to assemble it (albeit very slowly). The one improvement I could suggest to the manufacturers for the instructions is to have the written instructions, and the pictures, on two separate pages so they can be seen simultaneously. As they are I had to keep flipping back and forth from front to back and it made it harder than it had to be. It is very cute and sturdy. I got it for myself; I am 5' 7" and wear a size 9.5 women's shoe. I feel like the footboard is too small for my feet. That might be because I am unaccustomed to scooters, but I suspect this scooter would work better for shorter individuals with smaller feet. In terms of weight capacity, it felt completely stable to me - I am roughly 50 pounds under the listed weight limit. Be extra careful to secure the handlebars completely before starting out. I thought I had, but midway through my first ride they disengaged and that was not fun! Once you get used to engaging the clip it is easy. This is definitely giftable - the pink one is beautifully made and everyone who sees it comments on how cute it is. ... show more

  • Very sturdy, the kickstand is a little stabby
Color: red
Putting this together isn't exactly difficult, but some parts required some strength. Not sure if a kid could do it. It's mostly assembled out of the box, outside of the kickstand and one of the wheels. First thing I wanted to test was whether or not this thing was going to break easily. I rode it around myself. I'm about 220. It didn't even bend with me on it. It's definitely too small for someone with adult feet, but I was able to manage a bit. My farm road goes downhill from the top of it, and I road it all the way down the hill without issue. The brake works well, if you ever manage to go fast enough to need it. I usually just kind of hopped off of it when I wanted to stop. The kickstand is hard to get from underneath it unless your feet are tiny. I guess that makes sense, since it is for kids. It takes some force to get it back under there, so if you bump it into your leg, you end up with a bruise. I found that out the hard way, and so did one of my kids. It rolls just fine, even with me on it. It's also extremely light. My 6 year old has no problem carrying it around. It's also not very difficult to fold. My kids like it. They are asking me to put a hub motor on it though. I guess I'm going to have to look into that. The plastic tires are fine at 5mph, but I might have to figure something else out if I'm going to get it moving faster than that. ... show more

  • Wow!
Color: Turquoise
I wasn't expecting this to be better than the ones I already have, but it is! I have a Razor scooter I had from my childhood and it still works now. Later, I got a couple mongoose elevate duo scooters with what I thought were big wheels, but the wheels on this is even larger, so it can easily go over a bunch of obstacles! The max height is higher on this too! I was zooming around and testing things out, and the brakes are pretty nice! When my nephews come over, they're gonna be fighting over who gets to use this one for sure! Big wheels to go over all the bumps, it's just so awesome! It wasn't too hard to put together following the instructions. I haven't used the strap, but the kickstand works great! This is a cool scooter and I'm really happy with it. It's big enough for the adults to not feel like we're bending over to use it. This is probably the tallest one I've had yet...Though...all I had were those 3 before, so 2 different brands, but still! I'm really happy with this! The handlebar hand cushions are foam. That's not bad. I mean, my foam ones from my Razor lasted through my early childhood all the way until my adulthood (and as I got older, I was riding that razor to school, to work, like, everywhere... and it lasted until 2 years ago when my nephews visited my house while I was away and they left it out in the rain and I didn't come back and see it out there for a few weeks. So, with proper care, they can last. Just depends on who is using it and if they leave it outside or not. I personally don't leave my things outside to get messed up. I really like the bumpers on the side of the handlebars. They are really cute. A+ 5 stars! ... show more

  • The larger wheels make this an excellent choice for teens and young adults!
Color: Turquoise
This scooter has larger wheels than other less expensive scooters, and these wheels make all the difference! The tires are AMAZING when used on a smooth track or surface. They also work well on asphalt or smooth concrete, but are not great on softer ground like gravel, grass, dirt, or broken concrete (inflatable tires would probably be better for that). The larger wheels make rolling much safer, since you can go over smaller breaks in the ground without crashing. The movement is very smooth! While it works well enough for me (adult male, 6'2", 185lbs), it is PERFECT for my 10-year-old son, and will be an excellent fit for him all through his teenage years. It's a great size for teenagers or young adult men and women. I'm not sure what the "minimum" size would be, but I expect kids as young as 6-7 would be able to use it comfortably. It came in a relatively small box, and I was a little worried about how much assembly would be required when I unpacked it. However, it was extremely easy and only required attaching 2 bolts. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and it was obvious that I had everything connected and working correctly within about 5 minutes. It's also easy to collapse and will fit in a pretty small space. It even has a shoulder strap which makes carrying easier than any other scooter I have seen, so bonus points for that! My son and I are extremely happy with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone but the largest adults. I'm sure you'll agree! 5 stars. ... show more
