Overview: This is one of the most exciting purchases that my wife and I have made in a while. We live right by a state park and had been on the market for bikes for a few weeks. One of the challenges, however, was mustering up the energy to bike the distance between our house and the state park. That was when we started looking more seriously at e-bikes. We had each owned Schwinn bikes before and were impressed with the quality, so naturally we gravitated to these models. Having ridden them for a week now, we can confidently say that they didn’t disappoint. Assembly: The first positive experience was the quick and painless assembly process. The bike arrived with ample packaging to protect it from any potential damage in transit. The instruction manuals provided a step-by-step guide that was easy to follow, and it only consisted of around 8 steps and the assembly process took less than 25 minutes. This was far less than we had anticipated which was a pleasant surprise. Like with Schwinn models that we owned in the past, the build quality was also impressive. The battery and power cords flow seamlessly with the shape of the bike. None of the parts seemed clunky or restricting in any way which allow for a full range of motion and a smooth ride overall. Battery life: We have already gone on a few trips to and from our local park, as well as ridden around our neighborhood, and the bikes also have exceeded our expectations for battery life and endurance. Each bike is equipped with a control pad that shows the amount of battery life ranging from 1 to 4 bars, and we have been monitoring this over the last few days. The battery has remained at 4 bars despite multiple bike rides. This has given us confidence for going on longer rides, especially once the weather gets warmer and the assist feature becomes necessary. Functionality: This e-bike is FUN. They give my wife and I the freedom to ride our bikes wherever we want and however we want. When we want full exercise, we can ride the bikes without the assist, but the strong pedal assist and throttle features also provide a hassle-free option for more casual rides. We can bike through the trails near our house without any concern for our own stamina. The pedal assist feature kicks on while pedaling and helps you to maintain a consistent speed. You can choose Low-Med-High pedal assist depending on your pedaling effort. The energy from the bike gives us the boosts we need to go up hills and inclines, which makes for a far more enjoyable experience. The ride is smooth and consistent. Size: This bike has a 26” frame and fits most people. My wife is 5’1 and I am 5’10, and the bike seat is easily adjustable to fit both of us comfortably. The seat is wide and provides a comfortable cushion. Recommendation: I would highly recommend this e-bike to anyone—whether you need the pedal assist or not.     • Great bike, Hidden power switch

The bike comes with the battery already installed. I could not get the bike to work, called schwinn, operator suggested I burnt the battery by charging too much. The manual sent with the bike was not specific to this model. Just a general manual for schwinn electric bikes. After 2 days of trial and error I was ready to send it back. I pulled out the battery and found a on/off switch on the bottom of the battery. No mention of it in any manual nor did the help line operator know about it. I'm a female that's not very handy, Dick's sporting goods said it would take up to 5 days to assemble due to the backlog they had. Took me about 40 minutes total to assemble by myself. Watch the video on Schwinn's site not the one on here or You Tube as it wasn't the same bike, had a different handle bar stem. Pretty simple, great quality, but the seat is pretty uncomfortable. Need 2 different size Allen wrenches, pliers, and a Philips head screw driver. Personally I think it's cheap of the manufacturer not to supply what you need to assemble it. The media could not be loaded. This is the worse bike I ever bought, with many design flaws, risky and unreliable. It even makes me doubting whether the company really has a design control process. I will never buy a second bike from Schwinn. 1. Risky speed control. To reduce speed from middle to low, you have to first temporarily increase speed to high. Can you imagine this design? When you want to slow down, it will actually speed up for one or two seconds. Safe? 2. Short or weak kickstand. It cannot stand stably. Watch my video. Usable? 3. High balance center. The heavy battery is placed on top the rear wheel. It makes the gravity center high and the bike unstable. 4. Bad quality. In one of my first a few rides, the screws on the rear brake gradually all fell. I walked along the road to picked two of six. Reliable? 5. Left peddle arm blocks kickstand.     • Pleasant surprise but mostly disappointment

If you want to go the distance I think it will go 80 miles on PAS1 with pas 2 an 3 on hills and 40 miles on PAS 2. PAS 2 is great on this bike. You will go 20 mph on pas 2 without too much effort. Mine has a problem with pedal sensor issue and working on warranty with it. I feel like an idiot for not returning it as soon as this happened Pedal sensor doesent work in some situations mostly in relation to if you turn the bike on while pedaling. and if you do that you will have trouble getting the bike to work even after turning the bike on and off whithout the pedal moving. putting the bike together requires tools and mechanical ability, the fender came warped. also many other minor problems. Schwinn wants me to record the issue for warranty. Thats a difficult issue to record. I am not happy with this warranty condition. They wont even replace the bike just the sensor. I dont think there are any ebike mechanics nearby that will work on this for me. and if so thats more money I could have spent on a bike that doesent show up with so many problems ... show more
