This bike was the perfect choice for my almost-five year old! The size is perfect for her feet to touch the ground on the lowest position, so we should get many years of use out of this bike. The design is beautiful, and everyone compliments the bike everywhere we go. I like that it’s a bit unique from other little girl bikes. No tacky princesses here! We left the basket off as well, it just seemed excessive. It was fairly easy to put together, but I had a bit of trouble getting the brake pads just right. A small price to pay for the great functionality of this bike, but if you’re not bike savvy, it might take you some time. I like the fact that it has the option to “peddle back” as a brake. My daughter is still quite small, and won’t be able to use the hand brake for a couple of years. The only complaint I have about this bike is that there is no kickstand! My daughter does not need training wheels, so there is nothing to hold the bike up while it’s not in use. It seems like the bike will get worn out and damaged faster without the ability to keep it upright when it’s not in use. Not a dealbreaker, but a kickstand option would be nice. I bought this for my Granddaughter for Christmas and she loves it. The assembly was easy, however the book that came with it was for a BMX bike and not the girls bike. The brand name Schwinn on the front basket was upside down and had nothing to attach it to the bike. I used a few very small zip ties that matched the colors and it looks good. ... show more

They live 8 hours away so got Dad to take her measurements and then checked the chart that was on the website - it fit perfectly with still lots of room to grow! When I first saw this bike I immediately fell in love with it. I was looking for a first bike for our daughter who was about to turn 3. I had originally bought a 12” bike because it was for 2-6 year olds. But after struggling to put it together for a couple of hours, We realized it’d be too small for her. With this one I had my reservations because I thought this bike was going to be too big for her but I followed the height guidelines and decided to go for it. It was a perfect fit, she’s 44” inches tall. She was so excited when she got it and said she loved it. She had no issues getting on/off. My husband put it together in just a few minutes. Super easy!
