  • Worthless
Horrible process for setting up, but finally got through it. Everything finally connected and when I went to the app, I could see the charge status in my solar batteries from inside my house on my phone. Looking good....until I actually tapped on the battery monitor icon to see the remainder of the information it provides. All I get is an error code telling me it cannot connect to the server. Wasted a good portion of my life attempting to get it to work. Nada. So I deleted the app and started over, when I entered my password I JUST created, I get another error, invalid password....For the love of Mary. Reset my password. Set up the app AGAIN. App shows the SOC on my batteries, tap the icon to view the additional information.....you probably saw this coming....cannot connect to the server. What a worthless piece of junk. And of course I cannot find any help on the internet and customer service is closed on Saturday. I should have just taken a $20 bill and flushed it down the toilet, would have been less frustrating. Update, customer service never contacted me regarding the issues with this. But it does appear they fixed the issue. I still get an error message once in a while, but if I close the app and reopen it, it will work. Still doesn't show a history graph of the days charge though. Update after several weeks using it. It is mostly worthless. I use it to monitor my battery backup on my solar power system. When I open the app I can see the current soc on my batteries and it is usually very accurate, but the thing will not refresh. If I open it 5 minutes later it still gives me the same soc, even though it has changed on my charge controller screen. Sometimes if I close the app completely and reopen it, it will then give me the current soc, sometimes....and still never heard back from Schumachers customer service. I guess they don’t have time for customers. Look somewhere else for your purchase. A rep from the company asked me to call Tech Support and provided the number. I called it, after being on perpetual hold, i opted to leave a message, a week later I have never been contacted. After a year of attempting to use this thing, I did find one plus...the case is incredibly tough, the first three blows from my 3 lb hammer didn't even break the case open.... Good riddance. ... show more

  • Not working yet
Down loaded all three Schumacher apps, went through the install on one and it said there would be a wifi signal in settings and there was none for the device (it was flashing). Went to the last app and tried to setup and account and it would take info, but wouldn't default to the password phase, thus couldn't proceed to adding a device (as seen on YouTube). Tried to call them (only after seeing number in questions-couldn't find website) and they were closed on Saturday. Good luck with this one....I'll update on Monday. Why am I the first to review this when there are those answered questions out there??? Well, did eventually get i touch with technical support; they stated they would call me back at 5......still waiting (5 days later). ... show more

  • NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!
Let me start by saying, I am a broadcast engineer by trade. I have set up numerous wifi mesh networks, and repeaters in my day. So, when I read that other people were having trouble connecting to WiFi, I just assumed it was user issues. IT WAS NOT. This thing is a hot mess. 1. Setting up the WiFi interface is very time consuming, has login bugs all over the place, and is exceptionally unstable. 2. Once power is removed (i.e. Battery is disconnected or dies) you are back at square one...seriously. 3. Interface is inaccurate. Checked output against two voltage meters. Meters agreed, this thing was clueless. In summary, Sounds Awesome, Looks Awesome in pictures, but it is a giant time suck that simply doesn't deliver as promised. ... show more

  • Avoid this piece of junk!
I should of listened to the bad reviews. I’ve spent weeks trying to get it to work. It never connects and has never worked. I don’t know if it’s the app or my network security but either way it’s a total waste of money. I bought a different Bluetooth battery monitor and it works great. Now I can’t return this Schumacher junk since it’s too late. Agh. ... show more

  • Works. Really weak wifi (<10% <10' from router improved 6dbi antenna). Poor setup instructions.
Here is a Better Setup Sequence to correct Convoluted / Poor setup instructions. 1) Download App, open. Do not connect the monitor to power. 2) Create a new account or log in to existing 3) When the tutorial opens a web browser, it will not work. Switch back to Shulink+ App & complete reading tutorial 4) Verify new account e-mail 5) Switch to Schulink+ app, open Menu->Add Monitor. Register your Monitor from S/N and PW on the small business card included in the packaging. Will fail to connect (expected). Attach label to monitor with S/N and PW for the future. 6) Now connect "Battery" cable to the battery. Connect Charger plug to any charger up to 6A (Guest 1.5A did not require any modification. If your charger is capable of more than 6A, also connect "Charger" plug direct to the battery to power Wifi in the monitor. Will only show voltage, not charge current. 7) Turn off mobile data 8) Connect smartphone wifi to "ShulinkXXXXX network" 9) Return to web browser and refresh. Alternatively, select Menu->Setup to restart the Tutorial and open web browser now! 10) Connect to your router's wifi. The monitor will reboot. 11) Switch to Shulink+ App, wait few minutes, then refresh. Schmacker, are you paying attention? App needs revision. Monitor Needs 10A or 20A internal or up to 600A current monitoring with an external current shunt to also monitor current use from loads (much more important!) Really weak wifi (<10% <10' from router improved 6dbi antenna). Try to set up near router. Needs external $2 2 dbi antenna, even just short external length of antenna wire. ... show more
