Description

Our meet cute was simple enough. The rest? Not so much. When we met we were just Emilia and Hayden, two people crossing paths by chance. Neither of us thought we’d ever see each other again, until it turned out he lived across the hall. Our connection was innocent at first, but impossible to resist. We thought our age difference was the only thing standing in our way, until I walk into film class on my first day of university and he’s my new professor. Read more

  • Age is but a number
The story never really drew me in. It was very predictable. Cute story. Been told before. No twists. The use of the word pussy for a professional intelligent man didn't seen to fit.

  • Oh lala
Well that was refreshing. As much as I love a forbidden romance student/teacher books are like the hardest for me to read. Like my anxiety shoots up immensely. Like the fear of them getting caught and all that just freaks me out. Emmie and Molly are on their own for the first time, having just graduated high school and are starting college all new experiences ahead. Only Molly and her mom haven't cut the cord yet. Molly is so annoying well until her personality change. Emmie just gets a bit adventurous. Her adventures lead Emmie to eating alone! Lol this actually my most favorite thing to do, I've never had issues with it but like thats just me. Others might feel differently. Anyways Hayden saves her from this creeper and they enjoy a meal together. Imagine their surprise when they find out they are neighbors. Now multiple that by 10 when Hayden ends up being her professor. Say When absolutely gave me anxiety. I kept waiting for then to get busted. And that's basically all I'm going to say about that. ... show more

  • This one from Micalea Smeltzer so worth the cleansing tears as they steer you to seeds of hope!
I am no stranger to the words of Micalea Smeltzer and when she surprised us with this new stand alone, I jumped at the chance to read her words. I hope that maybe some of the other characters in this story may speak to Micalea as they need their story shared as well. Emilia was embarking on the journey of her life - College, Independence, Career Choices - everything was in front of her waiting to be discovered. A chance meeting in a restaurant/bar on her first night on her own and her world is truly set on a brand new course but neither she nor the handsome, older stranger, Hayden knew what this meeting was to bring. When they discover they are neighbors, a friendship begins but there is something more, something much deeper brewing between the two of them. When Emilia walks into her film class her first day at college, she discovers Hayden is her professor. Their connection grows and soon they can't deny their feelings but will that be enough to carry them through the tide of adversity they are about to face. There is so much emotion in this story. You are pulled in from the very beginning trying to help Emilia through each and every challenge. I highly recommend this one if you are looking for something to warm your heart and give you some beautiful sweet tears. ... show more

  • This book was JUST what I needed WHEN I needed it and
I’m so mad but also so glad I didn’t read this book right when I downloaded it. It has been in my library for a while now and I kept pushing it to the side because I wasn’t in the mood for an angsty student teacher book but something inside me was telling me to download it. Long story short I read it lol and I LIVED AND LOVED this book. Emilia’s view on life mirrors mine at this point in my life and I’m just ready to live for myself and not everyone else whether that be love or not and even though it’s fiction it’s beautiful to see the amazing things that can happen when you step out of your comfort zone! Looks like I was worried for nothing because this isn’t a typical student teacher romance with the usual “who’s going to find out and when and what will happen when they do” we got to see the relationship build first and it was beautiful and magnificent. Micaela did a magnificent job as she always does by including the perfect amount of sexual tension and pure emotion. No matter what point you’re at in your life you should 1000% read this book. You WILL not be disappointed and I put that on everything. I wouldn’t mind a sequel though Micaela if you’re reading this *WINK WINK*. There’s so much more story these characters could tell. Amazing job though! ... show more

  • Age is nothing but a number
3.5 stars Say When was a good read. It is a forbidden, student-teacher, age-gap romance. I really liked the friendship that Emilia and Hayden had. It was sweet and fun with a little touch of flirty. The attraction was there and seeing how their friendship grew to something more was nice. They were cute together. Age is nothing but a number when you meet the one. It was a delightful romance and I liked seeing it played out as the story developed. I did like Emilia's relationship with her brother Atlas. It was refreshing and a good sibling bond. Atlas had some sound advice to dish out. He was a pleasant side character. Overall this was a light and easy story. Very little angst and just smooth. I would like more on Molly and Atlas. There are stories there that need to be explored. ... show more

  • In Love With Say When
5 BEAUTIFUL STARS - RECOMMEND! The characters , the writing, that absolute perfection of a last line. It’s like this book was tailor made for readers like me. Micaela Smeltzer just gained herself another fan because I am head over heels in love with Say When. The story is an age-gap romance between a professor and his student and as far as cliché tropes go, this story surpassed my expectations. Despite the low angst and drama, the relationship development between Emilia and Hayden kept me at the edge of my seat. Smeltzer had a way with words that made a reader hooked from beginning to end. The writing was simple and eloquent at the same time. The chemistry between Hayden and Emilia was palpable and their coupling was so natural and organic. I especially loved how Emilia handled their secret romance with such delicacy and grace. In spite of her age, I don’t think I could have pictured a more perfect heroine for Hayden’s hero. ... show more

  • Forbidden Love
It doesn’t happen very often that I read a book in one setting, but I did with this one. I simple could not put it down. Emilia and Hayden’s story is a sweet slow burn, that gives you all the feels. Emilia wants to venture outside her comfort zone, and she goes to a restaurant by herself, where she meets Hayden in an unexpected way. She immediately feels comfortable with him, and they soon form a friendship. But she’s shocked when she finds out he’s her new professor. I remember the first book by this author that I read, and its easy to say her writing has only gotten better. She is an auto-buy author for me, and I can’t wait to see what she’s got up her sleeve next. ... show more
