This is still my back up and go to. even though I primary use the platypus quickdraw. Due to flow rate. I gave my old sawer to another hiker last time I was in Yosemite, and I went to the quickdraw due to the faster flow rate and the ability to check filter integrity after a cold night.

Sawyer squeeze is awesome! Love this thing and keep a couple 1L smart water bottles around since their compatible and don't collapse like the included water bags which still work fine.

This little guy and the mini counterpart are certainly worth the extra money over a Lifestraw, especially if you're planning on hiking around Hawaii or at least Oahu. Leptospira is a rare disease carried by animal waste in fresh water here on the islands, including the many waterfalls and subsequent pools of water they feed. While the Sawyer Squeeze can't help you prevent this during a swim, it can still filter out the bacteria if you need to fill up your water pack before a long trip back from the waterfall. The .1 micron filter is smaller than the .15 micron Leptospira, so this filter can deliver on it's promise of giving you fresh, clean water to drink! One of the only safe ways to drink from a Hawaiian waterfall straight from the source (more or less)! ... show more

Seems well made and durable. Ran some tap water through it and as far as I can tell it works fine. Filters quickly enough for two or three people at least. Will take it on a backpacking trip this summer. Not sure how long the squeeze bags will last with use. They have a brittle feeling to them but who knows. Will update this review after my trip if needed. Would buy again at this point. ... show more

I bought 2 of these. 1 for my Bug Out Bag and another for my Get Home Bag. I got this model specifically because I hear the flow rate is better than the Mini or Micro + it comes with more and larger bags. If the time ever arrives where I need to use these, I will be filtering water into my Nalgene

I just returned from spending 6 nights in the Boundary Waters and I cannot speak more highly of this product. Oh my gosh! We used it many times per day for drinking and cooking. If you've ever been to the BWCA, you know that the water is tea colored. When using this product, the water filtered clear and tasteless. It was so simple to use. I swooped the bag underwater to fill it, screwed on the filter, wiped off the excess water and started squeezing. When it got to a certain point, I rolled the bag down instead of squeezed which worked really well. I filtered the water into my 32oz containers and that was it. Cleaning the filter was also a snap. Due to the type of water containers I was using, it was easier to pour the filter water into the syringe as opposed to drawing it in. When pushing the clean water through the opposite end, I could see the dirty water come out and that was that. In regards to the filtering and cleaning, I kept thinking how simple both processes. I'm telling you, this is a great product. The picture I submitted is from a video I was taking as I was describing our camp site, and I specifically spoke in the video of how pleased I was. If you roll it just so, it would roll more compactly, but I didn't need to do that, due to be using a dry bag. It loved it... loved it... loved it! I should add too, that my camping buddy bought one as well and he loved it as well! All this for $30? Are you kidding me? You can't beat this product. ... show more

The filter includes various adapters which allow me to connect to different water bags or bottles. It is very easy to carry and use it.
