Upgrading from the Sapphire Pulse RX 5600 XT to the RX 7800 XT is like stepping into a sports car after driving a reliable sedan. I'm really loving this card, just use DDU and clean install the latest drivers and you should be all set. The RX 7800 XT offers a noticeable performance boost, particularly in 1440p and 1080p gaming, thanks to its robust rasterization performance and a generous 16GB of VRAM. Architectural improvements, including DP2.1 and AV1 encoding, make it a future-proof choice for gamers and content creators. While it doesn’t radically outperform its predecessor in terms of raw power, the RX 7800 XT’s price-to-performance was unparalleled and frankly quite attractive, and the ultimate reason I made the choice to pick up this GPU. However, it’s worth noting that this card isn’t the quietest, and ray tracing performance still lags behind competitors, but I really don't g.a.s about RT as I'm primarily using this build for editing. Great GPU. Runs very smooth 4k for most games at or above 60 fps. There are a few exceptions. Does run a little hot but nothing out of its specifications. I won't be Nvidia as I can't stand them. There the PC comparison to apple in my opinion. Overpriced and over hyped. This is definitely a worthwhile GPU in 2025. I bought mine shortly after it released and have had no issues.

Pros - Excellent value for money given the performance - Quality build from Sapphire, feels rock solid with the outer casing - Performs well with the games I tested it on, even with the Ultrawide display I have - Setup and install was simple and easy, AMD software is straightforward and will work seamlessly if you are upgrading from a previous AMD card Cons / warning - Power consumption, not necessarily a con but a warning, you will need at least 750watt supply but 850watt or higher I would recommend. I have a 750watt psu and this card will push up the consumption to the 600's under max load, I will likely upgrade my PSU to give a better safety margin - Length, again not really a con but a warning, the card is fairly long which is common for most higher end cards these days, just make sure you case can handle the length and there is enough air flow - No ARGB, not a big deal but it would have been nice if they had added some ARGB light or strip to it like some of the other AMD cards

Very good GPU, bought it in 2023 for $100 less than it’s worth now, and don’t regret it. It runs a bit hotter than what I’ve seen 3 fan variants do, but is no where near thermal throttling. Runs quiet and has a 0 RPM setting so the idle when not under any rigorous use.

While this card is mostly for high 1440p gaming, it will touch 4k above 60fps and that's say9ng a lot for this beast. Wonderful performance right out of the box. Temperatures were steady and not very hot. Roughly around 75c for me can be less with some tweaks. Plenty of memory to play with if you wanna mess with Ray tracing. Noise is extremely low to nonexistent. This is the brand you want for an AMD graphics card. Plus it's the right price for this specific card.

I really love Sapphire cards. They look great and where other manufacturers make these a two slot and really long card, Sapphire wisely made this a two and a half slot card allowing for the installation into smaller cases. It runs pretty cool, even when maxed out gaming. But I needed a good card for an eGPU. This ain't it. But it's not a Sapphire problem, but an AMD problem. I've tried an RX5700, RX6600,two different RX7800 XTs (one was this one) and a Sapphire RTX 7900 XTX. Any computer it tried the eGPU on benchmarked phenomonally, but regardless of the game, you're getting 20 to 45 FPS. Destiny 2 was my main test game due to the high variability in maps and locations. It didn't matter. The frame rates were all over the place between 20 and 45 fps, even a the lowest settings. Resolution didn't matter. I tried two other eGPU enclosures and got the same results. Putting any of the listed cards in a PC and they're great, especially compared to team greens pricing! I highly recommend this Graphics card for PC use. I do not recommend any AMD based card for eGPU use. If you need an eGPU, go with an RTX 4070 Super. In PC performance was similar, but eGPU use, the RTX was about a 10% performance loss, so the same testing netted nothing less than at least 110 fps.

Great gpu for 1440p gaming. Not much else to really right home about. Rasterization shines on AMD cards so you can brute force high/ultra settings on most games. Ray tracing isn’t comparable to nvidia but it isn’t something I’m super interested in. I can get a consistent 144 on every competitive shooter while hitting 80+ fps on high settings. (Using 80 as a baseline minimum, I didn’t want to list every game but there are many games where I’ll cross the 120 fps threshold). I never heard this thing make noise at all annd I’ve overclocked it. All in all it’s a great card to have.

This is only the 2nd gpu I have used, after a 4060 ti 8gb from my prebuilt pc, and I am very impressed. I have not yet tested the raytracing, but my fps stability has greatly improved under med-high settings for games like Elden Ring and Indiana Jones with no stuttering.
