    • Almost perfect - starts right away, have to be quick.
Our shakers are almost perfect, but I though the button on the side was more or less a trigger, not an on-and-off switch. If you expect these to be easy to use for someone who is having trouble with a regular shaker of salt/pepper, while they're easy, they're fast, and they don't stop until you tip them back over, but they keep grinding until it is completely upright. Which means it starts to turn on before you get the piece turned upside down. We've just kept it in the off position until ready to use, then turned on the power button, effectively using the power button as a trigger. ... show more

Impressive beginning. Both salt and pepper tend to clog up in the top leading to chunks falling into food unexpectedly. Batteries seem to drain faster than you’d expect. Hard to clean. Nice idea, however. Loved the fine setting, but that seems to clog the top even faster. Would not recommend.
