This waffle maker allows four good size waffles to be cooked at once. I love the others plates too. I have cooked eggs and even a steak. I love that this grill has removable plates. It makes it very easy to clean. It has waffle plates, panini plates and sandwich plates. My favorite is the panini option. The plates are very easy to remove and put back also. It is a good sized grill for a family of 4.

I received mine this morning and used the panini plates at lunch. It worked well and made a nicely browned sandwich, although there some features to be aware of. There is no way to regulate the heat and there's no on/off switch. If the unit is plugged in, the heat is on. The other caveat is that the manual states that when using the panini plate your sandwich should be no thicker 0.4 inches thick, or just under half-an-inch thick altogether. That said, it does heat quickly and seems to be very sturdy.

It seems like it has about the same size heating element as a 2 sandwich version, just arranged a little different. Takes a long time to get hot, struggles to stay hot when making a sandwich, and cooks very uneven. Save the headache and just get a 2 sandwich version.

OK.... I'll be the first to admit, I've never had or used a waffle iron. I just felt it was too large of an extra thing to keep around for something I rarely make. But this is so much more. There are so many options and things like grilled cheese, wrap, panini etc ... all become so much easy and faster. And of course those nice blackened lines that make those items so much more enticing! This one is also so easy to clean because you can remove the flat surfaces and just wash those instead of putting a big, clunky thing in your sink and getting water splashed everywhere. And the way it folds up like a tiny little suitcase and takes up so little room! They really took care of any of the things that were keeping me from having something like this in my house. But I'm sure glad i have it now!

The media could not be loaded. I was excited for the 3 in 1 to replace some of my older appliances and have less appliances, but it doesn't really get hot enough to get that golden crispy layer on the outside and it cooks unevenly. I do like the 3 in 1, it is easy to clean and I like how it stands up for storage and it's a nice size.
