  • Very Sharp Wide-Angle Prime for Fuji XT-2 Very Sharp Wide-Angle Prime for Fuji XT-2
Style: Fuji X Color: Black
I purchased this for a road trip through the southwest US with my new Fuji XT-2. It worked great for my wide-angle landscape shots with incredibly sharp images from the foreground to infinity (see images attached). Though it's fully manual, for landscape shots on a tripod, it works perfectly and intuitively. The focus peaking with Fuji also make it very easy to check what will be in sharp focus when composing. It's appears to be very well built and super light weight. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone wanting a sharp, wide-angle prime for Fuji X mount cameras. The filter size is 67 mm which also makes it a great addition with the Fujinon 16 mm f1.4 lens and 18-135 mm lens for a light weight travel kit (all with the same filter size!). ... show more

  • Fantastic Lens!
Style: Fuji X Color: Silver
Dramatic field of view. Extremely sharp lens. Manual focus is easy to handle with my Fuji XT-30 focus peaking. Fantastic build quality. There is something special about this lens. Great bargain!

  • A good lens at a reasonable price A good lens at a reasonable price
Style: Fuji X Color: Black
This is a manual 12 mm lens that I use on a FujiFilm X-E3. It is a very wide lens that allows you to capture a lot of real estate in one shot. Yes, it is not the sharpest around the edges but for the price it is a great lens for the hobbyist like me. The FujiFilm 18mm is $900 so it was an easy choice for me. I am very happy with this lens. The build quality is good and the lens feels solid. The aperture ring has a slight click to it, not the smoothest but not bad either. You do not have to worry about accidently changing it. The focus ring is smooth, but for me most of the time I just set it to infinity and shoot. I know I am not that great at photography, but even i can take some nice shots with this setup. It is well worth buying to play around with. ... show more

  • The best bang-for-your-buck wide angle available The best bang-for-your-buck wide angle available
Style: Fuji X Color: Black
You'd be hard pressed to find a better wide angle APS lens for anywhere near this price. It's sharp, it's fast, it keeps distortion to an absolute minimum, and it's tiny! Yes, it's manual focus, but don't let that scare you. Such a wide focal length means that you can leave this lens at infinity and have just about everything past a few feet in front of you in sharp focus. If your camera is capable of displaying focus peaking it's even quicker and easier to use, to the point that I don't feel at all limited by this compared to an AF lens. If you're considering astrophotography, DEFINITELY give this lens some thought. It controls coma exceptionally well, allowing you to get beautiful star fields without seagull shaped blobs appearing near the edges of the frame. You'll also appreciate the fast F2 aperture, meaning less time spent standing in the freezing cold night waiting for your image to expose. ... show more

  • Decent But Too Many Flaws
Style: Fuji X Color: Black
Others have written of the various faults of this lens. My biggest complaint was the really awfull chromatic aberrations on any bright subject. Sometimes it was too much to correct well in ON1. I also didn't care for the color rendering (shooting on Fuji). It was difficult to match it to my Fuji lenses and even with correction it still was just ok. FOV was almost too wide for all but a few sorts of landscape shots (14mm seems plenty wide). Ill probably just be saving my pennies to get a fuji wide lens. Had high hopes for this one, and it's decent if you can accept its limitations, but it isn't deserving of rave reviews IMHO. ... show more

  • Super Sharp Lens
Style: Fuji X Color: Black
I bought this to use with my Fujifilm X-T2 for landscape. I am amazed at the quality of this lens, both the build and the image quality. You can not go wrong with this lens especially for the price! It is a manual focus lens but don't let that deter you from buying the lens especially since the Fuji has focus peaking to assist in getting a sharp focus. ... show more

  • Good ultra wide lens Good ultra wide lens
Style: Fuji X Color: Silver
Fuji X-T30 user here. The Samyang 12mm F2 is a very nice ultra wide lens for the price. It's sharp even shooting at F2 and has almost no distortion. What I don't like is that the photos do appear with a greenish tint straight out of camera compared to fuji native lenses. There is also some noticable purple fringing and vignetting, but you can get rid of those by editing. ... show more

  • It's a good, manual wide-angle lens. No TTL with Godox stobe/Fuji camera.
Style: Fuji X Color: Black
I purchased this lens for the specific purpose of using it to take interior photographs of homes, or better said, for real estate photography. Mounted on a Fujifilm APS-C camera, this focal length is great for taking photos of rooms in a house. For this purpose a manual focusing lens is just fine. The fact that the lens does not electronically communicate any information to my camera means that all exposure functions will have to be manual, which again is fine. If you're comfortable shooting manual, you'll get along well with this lens. Now, the part that makes something like shooting real estate photography more difficult with this lens is when flash would be used, and in this case, I was also having to manually set the power of my strobe (flash), rather than being able to use the TTL funtion (basically "auto mode" for flash photography). This made the process slower given all the adjustments that have to take place. If the lens could electronically communicate with the camera to inform it of exposure data, this wouldn't be the case... but it is. Overall, I have no complaints about the lens for what it is. Just know that using it with a flash, I was not be able to take advantage of the TTL function of my flash. Again, for the money, this is a good lens. There are far more applications for use other than what I have used it thus far. ... show more
