I bought this specifically for projecting movies outside at night after using numerous other methods of supplying sound. I live in a small town that can be pretty loud in the evening due to train tracks a mere 1.5 blocks away. I've tried connecting a receiver amplifier to passive speakers (worked well- but pain to set-up), edifier bookshelf speakers (worked pretty well-just too many cables to deal with) and portable Bluetooth speakers (didn't have the volume to drown out the occasional train). This speaker worked well connected via the roku app sending audio to the speaker system. I was concerned that #1- the stereo effect would be diminished by this speakers design (it wasn't - it actually worked quite well), #2- bluetooth latency (not noticeable at all), #3- bluetooth connectivity would be poor-no issues at all at around 20ft) and #4- the volume couldn't drown out the distant train sounds (it was undoubtedly loud enuff but, just barely (I think I had the speaker volume at 47/50)). Distortion at this volume was minimal if present at all. Overall, I think I found the perfect audio system for my scenario. Easily carried and positioned into place, very good stereo projection and good coonectivity with adequate volume. If you can afford it, and don't mind the extra bulk of the t50 for added umph, I would take that step up in decibels if your in a noisy environment. ... show more

Unfortunately this perches was spoiled by seller sent only one speacker at the time even though I ordered two so another one came later and the second speaker came in t only one box not two original boxes as the first one. Box was completely destroyed which make me think that this product was returned but sold as a brand new. I really hope that this speacker will work will work with no problem. Also you cannot save previous settings on this speaker if you have more than two you will have to connect through group play but every time you press power button and will decide to listen to the music through more than two speaker again you will have to set it again. I only had the speakers for a few days but I already experienced loss of connection between the speakers during group Play. With 2 speakers is no problem us both can be played from your phone and don't need to be interfere with each other but if you have three speaker you will have to use group Play and connectivity is not perfect sometimes it's disconnects itself. ... show more

It has sound but the lows and mids are just not there. I have a ION 120W speaker right next to this one and using the same source (3.5mm male to male) and the power of the bass and the mids and highs are so much more pronounced on this then the Samsung, If I did not have this other speaker I might think this Samsung was great butI have this ION speaker and it blows this Samsung out of the water. I have to put the Samsung at #40( out of 50) to get close to the Ion and 50% sound setting. Very very disappointed considering what I paid for it. Trying to decide If I want to keep. Only one advantage for the Samsung is it has a remote and other one does not. ... show more

You can pause or go to the next song when streaming Amazon music from a cellphone! I wish the lights were on all speakers, not just the lower speaker. Sound fills the room but you might consider a larger option if you really want to rock out.
