  • Made TV fun again, but buy your own screws.
Buy your own screws! The included screws are trash and will strip. I recommend GRK screws, #10 with a washer to increase the head size. This is for the 2019 model! Other than the cheap screws they included, this TV has been an amazing experience. The box alone was designed like an old time western add, and the unboxing process was super satisfying. Detail was put into every bit of this TV, from the box, to the remote, to the TV animations themselves. Truly feels like a high end product with a similar OS to Apple TV products but...even better. The art mode is hit or miss depending on your room lighting. I am very picky about color balance and could never quite get the matte art option to match my wall paint. I just turned off the matte border and now it almost looks like a legit painting. You can white balance it too! Sound is surprisingly good though I never use TV speakers as my main audio. Remote is a God-send. It’s so simple and elegant. Easiest remote to learn and use. Looks sleek on a night stand. Built in voice control is awesome for searching videos on YouTube. CONS: 1-pathetic screws they include. 2-the TV is really heavy. 3-price is too high unless you buy it on sale. (I got the 43” for like $780). PROS: 1-Feels as smart and sleek as buying a new computer or gaming system. Setup process alone was as fun as actually using the thing. I was like a kid at Christmas. 2-Includes the best wall mount ever, but the 43” model doesn’t include the leveling option. 3-Colors are incredible. I’m in the film industry and only wanted OLED for the deep blacks. This QLED has my mind changed. I love the colors. For this price though it is a bummer that it isn’t true OLED, but OLED tech isn’t quite ready for stuff like the Frame TV which is meant to have a single image burned in for hours at a time. NOTE: 1-Be VERY careful not to kink the one connect wire. It is very fragile and you should not bend it more than the included 90 degree guide allows. 2-You can press the colored dots button on the remote during art mode to instantly adjust the brightness and white balance of your art. ... show more

  • Beautiful Painting Display
Size: 65 in Style: TV only
I can’t say I regret to buy it because I bought it for its Art Mode to decorate my new home. The QLED quality is definitely better than most of the 4K TV’s in the market (100% worse than OLED) and on par with other mid-level Samsung QLED TV’s. But, for its quality, its price tag is just not better than those TV’s. The build is great with its steadiness and solidness. And, yes, it does look better comparing with other 4K TV’s. The invisible (transparent) cable is flexible and really long enough. The ART Mode is great but I did pay $4.99/month to access all its art collections, which is good enough for me. However, I do wish they have more artworks per artist; every artist only has 1 to 3 artworks. For example, I am a fan of Goya but it only has 2 of his works. In any event, the paintings do look like real paintings; few of my visitors did think it is a painting not a TV. One good feature is that you don’t need to buy Apple TV or ant TV boxes or download Youtube TV, Netflex, Youtube ... etc, because Samsung installed all for you. Very convenient. All you need is to sign in to your account. I gave it a 4-Stars not because of its pricey tag, but rather for its remote. The physical remote is basically useless and not responsive. The mobile remote is slow to connect to the wifi/TV; the volume down key doesnt work on my mobile app (I use iPhone). And when you scroll down the channels, it will skip some channels and you have to scroll back. Typing is a pain, so, bluetooth keyboard is recommended if frequent Youtube viewing is your thing. Overall, you are really paying for the ART Mode. For me, it is definitely worth of the price tag. ... show more

  • Looks fantastic on the wall; art mode is great.
It is not just a TV. It really is a picture or poster frame. I uploaded a photo of my girlfriend. When she walked in and looked at it, she thought it was a super high-quality print of her - she was amazed. You can upload your photos to TV and play them as you like, or play them from Samsung gallery (I don't use it since I use Google Photos, but Samsung smartphone users may appreciate it). Art mode function gives you access to paintings, photos and other art - I love it. There are some free collections, or you can get access to much more with a monthly subscription; it is $5 after 3 month trial, I thin it is worth it. Other benefits: wireless screen sharing from laptop PC (Windows 10 required) - I use it often to work from bed; AirPlay built in and working well for Mac users - I stream Facebook live sessions or (sometimes) music; remote PC access - use TV as a remote workstation (wireless keyboard and mouse needed, USB will work if you have long-enough cable); Samsung SmartThings hub built in (I don't use it as I am already set on Amazon's solution). Usual complement of apps including Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Hulu, SlingTV and many more. Since the electronics box is separate (connected to TV with a very thin and completely unobtrusive cable - if you have beige or light brown wall, you will hardly notice it) it is bigger and therefore has plenty of connection options - 4 HDMI ports, optical, 3 USB ports, gigabit ethernet. I do miss old fashion RCA audio output, but bluetooth headphone or external speaker pairing is a breeze. Picture quality is great. Note: this is QLED display (i.e. quantum dot TFT display with multipoint LED backlighting) not OLED (emissive). Blacks are reasonably black, but not as deep black as on OLED (or plasma). It is pricey - you pay for the form and functionality, but I think it is totally worth it. I guess I will buy one for each room and turn my house into a gallery. ... show more
