Bought this to replace an older, larger, and more complicated amp/surround speaker setup. Set up was easy and the sound quality is very good. A couple of notes: 1: The surround/back speakers do require a hard-wired connection to the Wi-Fi module; it's Wi-Fi from there to the soundbar, so placement of the rear speakers is something to consider. 2: You can cycle through the sound options using the supplied remote and looking at the LED display on the soundbar, but it's much easier to use the Samsung Smart Things App for sound control/adjustment. ... show more

    • Likes to announce when it can't connect to the internet.
Cannot stay connected to wifi. If you want to stream to it or use an app to control it forget about it. I have solid wifi network and none of my other 50 ish devices have problems.

    • Amazing sound quality
This thing cooks. The sound is really good once you get the surround speakers working. I had issues but the wires were inserted too far and that made them not work. Found a video on YouTube about it and apparently it’s pretty common. A little tweaking the sound and I’m impressed.

Wish I would've bought an A/V receiver and separate Klipsch/Polk/Cerwin Vega speakers (or any similar brands). I used to have 2 CW XLS-12's which were INSANE on a $200 receiver. I didn't buy them again, because they are fairly big for my living room. Now I wish I would have. Those speakers could collapse a house. It's not the volume I'm looking for, but the depth of it. When an explosion goes off in a game/movie, I want to hear it and immerse in it. The samsung subwoofer is very weak. I also thought the speakers were wireless, but only the subwoofer is. I don't want to run wires to other side of my room. I have outlets everywhere and could just plug them in. If I have to run wires, all the more reason to just get an A/V receiver and traditional speakers. I give it 3 stars, because it's still a huge upgrade from TV audio, but it's not a theater by any means. It also connects to SmartThings app. I'm going to keep it, but last time I ever buy a turn-key "home theater system". Update: now audio cuts in and out randomly. Haven't been able to fix it. Just terrible ... show more

Constantly dropping WiFi and will not work correctly with arc. The Samsung OLED TV is the same. Great picture but aweful connections. They try to make these items too damn smart and ruin them
