(This review is from the opinion of someone going from a Polk Audio S2 soundbar in a living room approximately 15x15 that's open to our kitchen.) First and foremost... Wow... The audio quality, especially the dialogue from any streaming service is exquisite. Keeping all the settings at default is still very impressive. Adjusting them to your liking is simple (especially if you have a Samsung phone), and is very intuitive. I have a Samsung TV, and the "Q-Symphony" setting DOES make a difference, but don't spend close to $700 just because of this feature. You'll be disappointed. I don't have the additional back surround speakers, but just with the soundbar and sub, it's very, very nice. At close to $700 I can assure you the audio quality is exactly what you're paying for, and if this price point suits your budget, you won't be disappointed. As stated, the dialogue is the most impressive for me. You won't miss any conversation in your TV shows or movies. The sound in general is loud, clear, deep, authentic, and crisp. Not to mention the 9in sub hits hard and deep. I dare to say it is close to my 10in Polk Audio sub I have for my basement "true surround sound". If you are part of the Samsung family, (phone, headphones, tv's, etc.) definitely consider buying this.     • Perfect for pairing with a Samsung 2023 QLED TV

Item was advertiseds/purchased as having a damaged box, never opened with all items intact. This was absolutely the case, worth saving over $225! Works very well with Samsung TV. Followed the instructions for properly hooking it up, works as expected but it can be a little tricky. In order for Q Symphony and Ambient Sound to work it must be hard-wired with an HDMI cable, it doesn't work/sound as good using Bluetooth. I have found if you use Bluetooth to connect a phone or laptop to the TV, the soundbar defaults to a WI-FI connection when you connect back to the TV. As well to use both the soundbar and TV speakers together (recommended) sometimes the sound setting must be changed. Minor inconveniences, but worth mentioning. As for the sound, it is superb. This is my fourth soundbar and by far the best. The ambient sound setting analyzes your room and adjusts the sound from each speaker accordingly. I now use my soundbar to listen to music, and this setup has a fantastic sound and can play lossless music files. Bonus: if you have a Samsung phone, the whole system integrates perfectly, and you have a duplicate remote on any Samsung phone. ... show more

    • Terrific Sound For The Money
Style: HW-Q60C Pattern: Soundbar
The Samsung HW-Q60C may be the low end of the premium Q series but it just may be the best sound for the money they offer. The sound quality when using the TV for typical shows is so much better than the TV, especially the clearness of the dialogue but also when any music is being played like when the band plays on the Tonight show. When you opt to play Prime music or Pandora you will be surprised at the quality of the music you hear which is comparable to what you would get if you spent the same amount of money on powered speakers instead. I know because I compared the to Fluance and Edifiier speakers. First, you get reduced power when you use the Toslink on powered speakers. My LG TV does produce a louder TOSLINK sound when using the Pandora App so I don't understand that but the Fluance speakers to compete in that use. The extra features you get with the eARC connection on the Samsung with DTS, surround, etc modes also make powered speakers at a disadvntage. I was never a fan of processing music signals before but Samsung's surround sound mode makes a nice improvement in the soundstage of music with not a hint of anything artificial. The system also has plenty of power to create realistic live sound levels with good bass support. You get more than you expected for the money you spend on this wonderful soundbar. ... show more

I have used this sound bar for a week now and it seems like a winner to me. I ordered it used/renewed/refurbished (Which, I don't remember) and it looks great out of the box. No issues setting up all important stuff was included as far as I'm aware. I have had issues out of the app but its not too important to me at this point. I dont have a samsung TV so I cant try out Q-Symphony or what ever its called. I really dislike proprietary things because of things like this. But what ever, atmos still works. Only issue with that is I have not found much streaming content out there except for Netflix that puts the bar into Atmos mode. There is allot of content on Netflix that says Atmos but not allot that I want to watch at this point. So ill have to get back to you when I get a good amount of that content watched. I subtracted 1 star from sound quality because I watch allot of music video content on youtube and my old 2.1 channel bose system was a little better for this. I could put the sound bar into standard mode but then it sounds a bit lifeless even with EQ. So that is my only minor issue with the sound so far. I do wish the LCD screen was a little bigger. Its hard to read as only 3 characters fit on the screen at a time and the text scrolls slow so you have to store the characters in memory and wait for the next 3 to show up and append it then put them together in your head to figure out what it says. So things are abbreviated and confusing to remember. The app is a better choice if it works as mentioned above. Over all Im happy with my purchase especially at nearly half the price of a new unit! ... show more
