    • The BEST Tablet Period
A little backstory if I may... My first real foray into Samsung tablets started a couple years ago with the S7 FE, and I only got it because it had a great size (12.4") for a really cheap price for used, from Amazon Warehouse, which had one in acceptable condition for only $261, which turned out to be in a really great condition, so shout out to AW, they get it right most times. I really liked this tablet, as my previous was an 11" iPad Pro that was way overpriced from my point of view. I had wanted something bigger, but the 12.9" version was even more outrageously overpriced. So to get something almost as big for almost $1000 less was a very good impression for Samsung. When I saw that Samsung.com allowed me to upgrade to the S8+ for only $300+ more with a trade-in, it was an easy decision. And she S8+ was an even better tablet with that gorgeous OLED screen. So now, I've had two great tablets I've really really enjoyed using, way more than with both the regular iPad and the iPad Pro. The only iPad I would now recommend is the regular iPad for its unparalleled value. And so with my S8+, I was very satisfied and thought it was sue perfect tablet. However, one thing kept gnawing at me. Because it doesn't have a keyboard, and the way I use it, I don't need a keyboard, so it's much lighter than most laptops, even though the size is about the same. And so, I was wondering what it would be like to use the Ultra version, with its ridiculous 14.6" size, especially since I mainly use it for media consumption, mostly YouTube, Netflix, and (HB0) Max. And when Samsung allowed me once again to upgrade to its latest and greatest so easily with the BEST upgrade program in the entire industry - they gave me $700 credit with a trade-in - so I only had to pay about $300 to upgrade to the S9 Ultra, it was another incredulously easy decision. And now, with this simply piece of art, I have truly found tablet nirvana... I have been so blissful, I'm writing this review with the included S-pen, which I never ever used before, even when I had it on my Samsung Fold 3 and 4. And that's also another matter. This pen is AWESOME. So smooth and easy to write, with imperceptible lag. I HATE typing on tablets because using the on-screen keyboard is a PAIN. But writing with the digital pen makes so much sense now. It's also more convenient than using a Bluetooth keyboard because you don't have to lug it around with you and connect it. The pen is always and simply just.right.there. I will try to finish a video review to stress the other points, but for now, that was what I wanted to get off my chest. I'm upgrading from a Tab S4 so the differences are night and day. I love this tablet, especially for watching content. My only issue is that my tablet is region locked to South America so certain apps, like Samsung News, doesn't work even though I live in the United States. A Spanish book cover keyboard case was included but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to press "@" and so I feel compelled to spend over 300 dollars on the US version. Other than these 2 issues, I have no other complaints. ... show more
