This was a renewed / refurbished item, as a little weary. When I made the purchase they had I think eight or 10 available, which means you may get one that has a minor scratch or you may get a perfect one. I looked it over and it looked brand new. I said there was one minor issue, there was actually two, they have different quality standards that the categorize renewed items, good great perfect and one more even better, I got the second option which I believe is perfect, no scratches it comes with everything that it should although the seller is allowed to swap out missing items for generic versions. This is where I had an issue, the cord that was sent was not the original although it allowed for fast charging, but the plug that they sent with is not up to spec, and would only allow slow charging capabilities. I used another plug adapter, which is where I was made aware that the cable they sent was a fast charging cable. That was a little disappointing. The other issue or unfortunate thing I felt was there was no paperwork. I don't know if it's supposed to have some in a perfect condition but it had none. The upside was that the pen that came with it was original, I tested the battery and it had more than 80% life left. So ultimately I think I got good value for money. The screen was in perfect shape as far as I could tell, sound quality, the speakers were not blown, the fungitionally and use of use of the Samsung, is different than the less expensive Android tablets I've gotten in the past. If I'm brutally honest, I would not buy a Samsung again. Maybe over time I'll get used to the added functionalities that Samsung adds to Android. But for right now and for me, I was not able to just jump on and be comfortable, I had to do a little research. Would I buy again from the seller, yes. would I recommend this item, I would recommend you go to a store and play with the Samsung on display if you've never used one. One thing I found out after purchasing was that apparently this device is water resistant, meaning you could feasibly walk in the rain with it, I've read some people even take it into the shower. Don't quote me on this. I would not attempt unless you do your own research. Although it does have a solid feel to it. I've never had a tablet with a pen, that is one item that I think I will enjoy most. The packaging from the shipper was very adequate. And it arrived a day early. I just love how good this tablet is. Its a great tablet, DEX make it better, the desktop experience this provedes is amazing. Battery is amazing, the display its beautigil for media comsumption. Gaming on this is simply great, no problem at all, no lag and no heating issues. The Snapdragon 8 gen 2 its just one of the best proccessors for android devices. Came in box wrapped well in bubble wrap in the usually foam sleave samsung puts their tabs in. Started it and it recognized my old s6 and my A71 and pulled and pretty complete backup transfer from my S6 tablet including files from my micro sd without having to do any smart switch settings adjustments. Just remember use a usb cable to do them my 220gb backup said 45 hrs via wifi or less than 30 min by usb. Great tablet and huge step up from my S6 Cubase for android now runs like a champ without issues. Just with android had better support with they are the last to do support for audio and video plugins via socket base interface at the kernel level. Apple, MS and Linux has done this to better support media production Android has not ... show more

Have had this device for a few months. One thing I did not know when ordering is that it does still come in the retail packaging and includes an S Pen - I initially ordered an S Pen to accompany the tablet, and had to return it when it turned out to be an unneeded extra. The refurbished S9 has treated me fairly well. The condition was basically perfect, no scratches or anything else of note. The battery health is perfect. Everything works fine and as it should. However, I have noticed an occasional graphical bug. Sometimes the screen will freeze up, usually while playing video, but the audio will continue playing. Sometimes there is even a stripe of glitched pink pixels across the screen. The first time this happened, I was worried the GPU had just died. But this is easily fixed by turning the screen off and on again. I don't even need to reboot the tablet or anything, just pressing the power button twice seems to do the trick - until it happens again. No way to pin down when this happens or any predictable frequency for it, except that it's uncommon enough I'm always caught off guard and confused for a second when it happens again. I have also noticed that there are occasionally graphical noise when playing back grainy video files like stuff shot on film. I worry these are both part of the same problem somewhere around the GPU / video decoding area of the APU. I can only hope it doesn't progress any worse. I also can't blame the refurb techs for not noticing it since it only happens like once every two weeks. Either way, I only really use this for watching movies, so it's not like I'll lose a lot of data if it dies. I'll just be out like 700 bucks.
