It is a big phone. It has everything that i want for a tablet, the bonus is it has the phone capability. It is slow, but not really concerns me because i use it as a secondary phone for my kid to watch videos in the car. With 4g capability, i don't need to download any movie. 32g is kind of lame. Barely enough for couple apps. Even though it has memory card, but the card can be used for files storage and photos videos only. Great little tablet for home and work viewing. I often build, make, and repair items for work and home and watching instructional videos on something bigger than my phone is great. Pros: Small enough to carry around, but big enough to see the screen clearly Has done everything i wanted to do, including a couple games. Cellular phone calls do work Wifi connecting and signal works excellent Cons: Battery life is a bit lacking Phone calls work, but there is an annoying "unlock" feature you have to double tap to make or answer a call. Not as good as a phone connecting to cell towers, i get about half signal on this tablet, compared to phone. ... show more

This is the fourth tablet I have owned and have been using it heavily for business and recreation (I am not a gamer) for 2 months and am extremely happy with the purchase. The features I was looking for were size (not too large), good performance, low price, ample Ram/memory, SD card support, good screen resolution, modern dual band WiFi, good camera, GNSS support. This came as close to my ideal as I could find and the added bonus of inbuilt unlocked 4G LTE was unexpected but I tested (Trafone prepaid SIM and service $21) and it works fine though holding a 9" smartphone to your ear is attention-getting. Add-ons I have augmented this tablet with include a Tracfone nano-SIM, a Gigastore 256 GB micro SD, ivoler glass screen protector, armor suit anti-glare film (layered on the glass screen protecto - both easy to install with no bubbles - and touch screen works fine), a Puxicu matte silicone cover, and a Finte universal hand strap. I recommend them all. I consider myself a heavy user and have installed about 40 apps (only one was a game) and this tablet has not choked once. The battery is good for more than 3 days. The only minor negatives I would mention are the lack of USB 3.0 support (the USB-C port is 2.0), the lack of HDMI support, and the fact the cameras are only good but not excellent. All in all I recommend this tablet and would definitely buy it again. ... show more

This is a great tablet/phone to use with a sim card and a smart watch with lte service. My only complaint is that samsung watches are not compatible with samsung tablets. Purchased a google pixel lte watch to mate with the tablet/phone. The tablet is a little slow but considering the price and being able to pair with a smart watch to eliminate bulk on the go it works great. ... show more

I mean, how slow could technology today really even be? Tap an app and wait 4 seconds for it to respond. Any input takes long enough that you doubt that you even actually touched it and maybe you need to do it again? No, just horrifically slow. It gets better after it kind of warms up, but it's nearly unusable. I bought it just to have a portable writing option and bought a keyboard for it. Attached keyboard or onscreen one— both process each keystroke so slowly that most words are completely types before they show up on the screen. ... show more

    • Smooth transition from a Tab E

This tablet is replacing an older Samsung Tab E I have used a lot for several years and the changeover went very smoothly. The new tablet imported various items from the old tablet "automagically" and the best part was when I swapped the data SIM from the old tablet to the A7 and on restart it recognized and was using the SIM. I didn't have to call the carrier or anything. I am using Ting for the tablet data. This A7 seems to be very similar to the Tab E, not unexepectedly, so I was up and running very quickly. A few things operate a little differently, but that's mostly due to software upgrades in the OS. One item needing getting used to is I didn't realize how much I used the front button on the Tab E, and the A7 doesn't has that. It's a double tap on the screen of the A7 instead. Not a big deal, but it has caught me out a few times already when I go looking to press the button that's not there. The screen display seems to be a bit sharper and just a little bit bigger than the Tab E's screen in the same same size form factor, going just about to the edge of the unit. Beware phone call capability will not work with Consumer Cellular (data will). Although the description on Amazon states this tablet is unlocked and will make phone calls, read the last bullet under "Top Highlights". - International Model - No Warranty in the US. Can make calls if your carrier allows. Most US carriers will not allow calling feature to work on this device. I bought it to replace my wife's older tablet phone but will have to go another route.
