I have had some very nice laptops that cost thousands of dollars. I also own a high-end Lenovo but this is my go-to. The Fiesta Red color is stunning. Boots up quickly, nice feel to the keys, track pad is responsive and the the screen is crystal clear yielding sharp, vibrant images. I don't need as much out of a laptop like I used to (I am retired), but I teach English in South America and do lots of very complex PowerPoints. You can run multiple screens simultaneously with videos, easy to splice, computer does not "hang" at all. We Chromebook lovers know how great Google OS is...excellent security, updates only require a re-boot, on-line and hard drive storage, excellent stability. Chromebooks have come a long way and are biting into the regular laptop market and this one may surprise you. The metal casing is protective and sturdy. Screen is versatile and opens fully to tablet form. Touchscreen is excellent...what else can I say. I will update if I run into any problems but at this point I have no issues. Before breaking the bank on a "regular" laptop (and then you are stuck with Microsoft Windows and the crazy updates that don't recognize your peripherals, screw up your drivers and generally suck), check out a good Chromebook. You will save lots of money and get a better machine with a better operating system that looks nice and performs. ... show more

i was in the market to find a cheaper laptop simply to use as my asset management device, so when i seen the Chromebook come on sale I couldn't have been more excited, especially from a name like Samsung. it does exactly everything i need it to do and I am able to trade assets on the go without using my mobile phone. note: sometimes Chrome can show buggy drop-down menus on pages, simply open your page in incognito mode and this should fix your issues. example: Coinbase drop down menus are sometimes buggy, incognito fixes this and is more private anyways 👍 ... show more

    • An excellent computer!
This Chromebook is the best one I have had—it is the fourth one I have owned. The speed is great, and I love that it is a touch screen. The screen folds completely back to create a large tablet. The price was a big factor in the purchase. All in all, I love this computer!

    • 100% dead after one year and 18 days
Cannot power on at all after merely one year and 18 days. The battery is ok and charged. Tried everything found online and nothing works. It stopped working once before this but we managed to get it back. But this time it is 100% dead and just out of warranty. Totally a waste of money!

    • A great Chromebook that's often overlooked.
This is a great Chromebook that's overlooked, due to some harsh and biased reviews out there on the web and YouTube. Thankfully, some of the more objective reviews made some good points and pointed out certain things about this device that made it appealing to me. That combined with the fact it was on sale when I was considering it sealed the deal for me. Some things about this device to note: - Build: Very good, aluminium base and lid with a high quality plastic deck which has been colour matched very well. I got the red and it does have hues of orange here and there, which I like. No creaking but there's a slight flex when holding it at one corner, but it's barely noticeable. - Keyboard: A bit shallow but the keys are a good size and has a nice typing feel to it. I find it enjoyable to use and I'm fairly accurate with it. It's backlit too, with a nice subtle glow. - Speakers: Not very rich in sound, but the sound is clear and sounds good for a device with this profile. It is down firing though. - Touchpad: a bit small, but definitely useable with a nice click and the surface is smooth since it's glass. So thumbs up there. - Webcam: The webcam is 720 and not very good but will do the job, I guess. - Screen: The screen is very nice, it's plenty sharp in this form factor with good colours and deep blacks with great viewing angles. - Battery: Battery life is good, I think I average around 7 to 8 hours. I could probably get 10 out of it if I manage the screen brightness a bit more. - Peformance: This is a 10th gen i3 with 8gb of RAM and while most would say that it's not as good as the 11th gen, this is still a well performing machine. I run multiple tabs at once and the machine remains nice and snappy while using it so performance is very good. It also runs very quiet, I can barely tell the fan is running at times. -Ports: Port selection isn't great, the device only has the two usb c ports on either side but there is an SD card slot to expand the storage plus a headphone jack, which is nice. I invested in a little USB-C hub to provide USB-A and HDMI ports. I would definitely recommend this device and I would buy it again, especially at the discounted price but even when buying it at the full price, it's still a great machine that many would be happy with I think. (I almost forgot to mention, for anyone wondering, mine didn't ship with the massive black sticker on the left of the trackpad that I saw in some reviews, so seems the retail versions don't have it since it's almost impossible to remove cleanly). ... show more

Love this laptop. As you can see I've already decorated it. (Got the stickers from amazon) the laptop works great! Super easy to set up. Display is great. And I love the red color and lightness of it. I can carry it with me to school and not feel weighed down. 10/10

Love the color, the size, and ease to set up! Didn't like the blue plastic credit card size item taped to the box as I didn't know what it was. Had to Google that. It a free thumb drive that I was told not to put it for fear of malware.
