The media could not be loaded. This SWA-9500S rear speaker kit is a must-have for anyone rocking a Samsung Q800, Q700, or Q600 soundbar! If your soundbar starts with a "Q" and ends with an "A," "B," "C," or "D" (like my Q800D!), you're good to go – it's compatible with all 2021 and newer Q-series soundbars. My Q800D soundbar is fantastic on its own, especially with the Q-Symphony feature on my Samsung TV. Q-Symphony really broadens the soundstage, particularly for the center channel. However, as a true cinema buff , however,I always felt like something was missing. The SWA-9500S speakers completely filled that gap! 🎉 Now, all the sounds that should be coming from behind me are actually there! My Q800D already has two up-firing speakers, and the SWA-9500S adds another two! This makes the height effects so much more convincing. They're not quite as good as dedicated ceiling speakers, but they make a huge difference. This is an amazing product, but setup is key! I've seen lots of comments about enabling the "Group Sound" feature. Personally, I prefer it off. My guess is that "Group Sound" is better suited for music listening, not movies. Rear speakers aren't meant to be constantly loud; you should only really notice them during Atmos content when there are sounds specifically designed for the rear channels. That's why they're called rear speakers! 😉 To really maximize the rear sound, I turned down the volume of all the soundbar channels in the SmartThings app and cranked up the volume on the rear speakers and rear front speakers almost to the max. This made a world of difference! The setup was incredibly easy. I just plugged in the speakers, turned on my soundbar, pressed the "up" button on the wheel until "ID Set" was enabled, and boom! They connected automatically! ✨ So, if you have a compatible Samsung soundbar and you're a big fan of Atmos movies, you need these speakers. They're totally worth the investment! ... show more

We recently got a Samsung QN90C tv and I wanted a good sound system. I bought the Samsung HW-S800D which consists of a premium stupid slim sound bar and a subwoofer. While this setup was a great start it still wasn't a full surround sound system. These Rear 9500s speakers was the last piece that I needed to complete our system. These speakers work flawlessly and sound great. Like most though I thought the speakers sounded very low after everything was set up. My wife schooled me by finding a setting though that fixed this issue. In the Smart Things app under the Surround Speaker Setup setting Sound Grouping option needs to be enabled (see pics). Once enabled the sound from these speakers will be significantly louder. I also select Surround under the Sound Mode setting. Before using the Smart Things app I was using the remote and no matter what settings I changed while using the remote I could never get the volume to significantly increase. From what I can tell you can only activate the Sound Grouping option through the Samsung Smart Things App. Overall though I am very happy with these speakers and the sound quality. ... show more

I have a Samsung Q800B, an excellent immersive soundbar, to replace my stand-alone entry-level soundbar. So having never had rear surrounds before, I found myself wanting more. But the price tag of almost $300 made me hesitate. After all, I was already happy with my purchase. So, when it was on sale at less than $200 (before tax), I jumped at the opportunity and purchased it. I do not regret the purchase. First, it was easy to pair. After pairing, you can now control the output on your remote. It also updates in Smarthings App on your phone. The second and most important is the sound quality. It truly adds icing to an already excellent cake. I played scenes from Unbroken, Dune, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the King, Saving Private Ryan, and 1917. You hear bullets whizzing, explosions from above, aircraft flying around, etc. Note, if you feel the rear speakers are not loud enough, max out your rear output to +6 and lower your front output to +2 or lower. This worked for me. Of course, I would probably agree that a high-end and full-fledged home theatre system will sound better (but maybe not much). This is immersive and good enough for me. *IMPORTANT UPDATE: Plug your HDMI to your content watching device to the back port of the Samsung sound bar for HDMI Out and then use another HDMI cable and connect it to the back of the soundbar to the eARC port to your TV’s eARC HDMI port. Doing this will correctly setup Dolby Atmos making the speakers volume and quality 100% better.* I bought these as a gift for my parents for their Samsung surround sound bar. I’ve wanted these speakers for them for a while and as a Christmas present I finally got them. I decided to open them up and give them the speakers early to make sure they worked and WOW! They’re amazing. Both a main speaker and a speaker on top to really give you that quality sound you wanna hear. Then going into a surround sound movie, we all had our first hear at a true surround sound experience. You can hear the sound movie from the main sound bar back to the rear speakers. Half the time we think something’s outside because sounds from the rear speakers are coming out and we forget they’re there. I’ve never tried a surround system before but so far I’m really happy with these speakers and so are my parents. Another great aspect of these speakers is the one cord that comes out from them, the power cord. No wires you have to run across the room or anything of any kind of a mess. The sound also doesn’t seem to be affected by the wireless aspect of the rear speakers. The sound is immediate and there’s no delay. If you’re thinking about wanting a real surround sound experience and have the correct compatible Samsung sound bar, I completely recommend these even for their price.
