My husband and I have a very curated living space, everything is intentional by design. I genuinely could not imagine this space if there was a TV just hanging over the fireplace. I wouldn’t even call this an investment simply because the price was so good, if we had gotten even one piece of art this size it would’ve cost double. We’re both gamers as well, and it works wonderfully for our games, movies, and shows, I love that the controller is simple and solar powered. I absolutely love this Samsung Frame TV. It not only works great as a TV, but the design is what really sets it apart. It blends into the space so seamlessly that it doesn’t even feel like a traditional TV. We have it in our mountain vacation condo, and it’s honestly become a focal point of the room in the best way. Instead of a big black screen, it adds to the overall aesthetic. We didn’t even end up adding a physical frame, and it still looks beautiful. We did get the art subscription, which I highly recommend—it gives you access to so many options and really enhances the whole “art piece” effect. Picture quality is excellent, and everything functions exactly as you’d expect from a high-end Samsung TV. But for me, the biggest win is how it elevates the space. Let’s start with the positive, it does look beautiful on your wall. I purchased the 75 inch version, saved up for it for a while as these are not cheap, and was initially thrilled. But the problems started a few months into having the unit. First, the operating system is terrible. It consistently gets stuck and can be incredibly slow, often to the point of being non-responsive. That means you need to unplug things and do a manual restart every week or so. Second, the picture is good, but not great. This isn’t on the level of some of the LG and other high end models even though the price is similar. It’s not bad, but you’re paying a premium price for the art functionality and flat look. So if you care about dark blacks and luscious colours, choose another option. The biggest drawback though is Samsung itself. Two weeks after my 1 year warranty expired, about a fifth of the screen on the right went dark. It was pretty clear that the pixels had burnt out. Pretty bad for the lack of time we had it. And of course Samsung would not honour the warranty even though it had just expired, and their only solution was to either force me to buy the newer, more expensive model of this TV as they no longer sold mine, or have me pay for repair labour which was estimated to be the same price as buying a new unit. And this was after hours of fighting on the phone with them, running useless tests, and generally just driving myself crazy. I’ll never buy another Samsung product as a result of this and you probably shouldn’t either. Lots of cheaper “art style” TVs on the market now. ... show more

We love our TV! I’ve been wanting a frame TV for a while and am very happy we decided to go for it. There is a convenient app with a remote control option on your phone. It has a built in sound monitor and tells me when I’m my dogs are barking and will turn itself on to play calming music for them. The art mode is beautiful and you can even upload your own photos and/or purchase art photos on Etsy if you are an artsy soul and have favorite artworks that aren’t available in the Samsung Art store. Pictures really don’t do it justice! Ours is not mounted as we are planning to move, but I can only imagine I will love it even more once it is mounted and has a decorative frame. ... show more

This is a great television for me. I have a light filled living room so needed something that would work well in high light. The picture is clear and crisp in the height of the day. The sound is excellent in an open concept living/dining/kitchen with vaulted ceilings. I will not be needing a sound bar. I did not use the flush mount frame because I needed the tilt down (it is mounted above a very high fireplace) and to be able to swing it in the direction of the kitchen. The remote is very intuitive but is slim and slippery so that now has a much needed silicone sleeve. Samsung makes it super easy to set up. Connected to my WiFi immediately. Display: I actually bought this TV for the art feature. The matte display offers a great option for this. Plus being able to buy borders that make it look more like art helps. But, If your lighting isn’t quite right or bright enough in the room, it’s not as convincing. And also suffers viewing from an angle. See photos. It’s just… pretty good. Art: the selection is actually quite fantastic, and they look excellent. You’re also able to choose size and color of the matte, which IMO, is the most convincing piece to having it look like framed art. It’s possible to add your own photos, but not use a matte and they look way less convincing. I’d love to see Samsung put in software that automatically helps with this on the TV (cropping and matte). So that has to be done yourself- you’ll need the right aspect ratio cropping then be able to use the app or a storage device to transfer. Finally, the art subscription is paid. Setup: mounting, while straight forward and the instructions are clear, you’ll need to be precise. I do actually love the external input box, and this is indeed is what allows this tv to mount flush. Sound: it’s pretty bad. Get a sound bar. Display quality: I love the matte screen. Colors are vibrant, but can look oversaturated in vivid mode. It’s no OLED, but being that it’s an art first TV for me, it’s fine. I haven’t tried gaming on it, but I’m sure it’s fine. It probably won’t blow your sox off. Overall: it’s pretty good. Get it on sale at a price that you feel is a good value. I waited a few years for that. ... show more

Could not be happier as we caught a Prime sale with free unpacking/setup and a bonus free frame for the TV . This is our second Samsung frame TV . These are quite special as they truly resemble art work when not in use , which makes for a much more aesthetically pleasing look in a room . In my opinion a big black screen on a wall is plane ugly ! As far as mounting goes it was a bit cumbersome to get in a precise position . I watched a few online mounting videos which were helpful . The mounting brackets give some leeway yet I wasn't able to locate a stud so i had to purchase some toggle brackets which worked out great . I did use the the mounting template and a level . GO SLOW and MEASURE multiple times prior to putting a lot of holes in your wall . ... show more
