When I first ordered the QN 900B it arrived broke. There was a large black mark on the screen. After weeks of waiting to get a replacement the tv worked off and on. I had many problems with the optical audio. The lips moved in shows but didn’t match the audio. Just after one year the tv broke again this time the power went out and would not start. Samsung techs came and tore out the back panel and replaced the motherboard. They left with it unfinished and I did not have a source. Now the tv audio is still not working. Samsung said it is past warranty and wo t fix Problems. I have spent countless hours on the phone and it has been the most frustrating experience in my life with any product. ... show more

When my ordered QN800B was DOA I upgraded my order to the QN900B and am glad I did. The picture is outstanding but there is some blooming now and then but not enough I can't live with. Hope Samsung will do some firmware updating. One complaint was that the one connect box gets very hot after 6 or more hours but I solved that with a fan unit. ... show more

The only problem I have with this TV is that Amazon recommends the wrong mounting bracket, the slim-line bracket by Samsung which are quite expensive compared to others, but which the professional installers, also recommended by Amazon, said wouldn't work with this TV model due to the the TV only having one mounting screw per bracket plate and the mounting plate not being inset into the back of the TV, so couldn't be very securely attached to the TV. ... show more

    • Excellent picture quality/So-so remote
Update 6/29/22: Television has a very annoying rattle from one of the rear speaker sets. After contacting Samsung and getting two missed repair appointments, I get a call saying the part is unavailable and they want to offer "accomodation". After listening, they are wanting to pick up the television, give me a coupon for $3,600, and have me replace the television. The biggest problem here is that this "accommodation" is more than $1,000 less than I spent on this television. This thing is less than a month old, can't get parts for warranty service, and Samsung wants me to "eat" $1,000. I told them this was unacceptable so they have closed the claim. This is the very last Samsung product that I will ever purchase. Buyer beware with this television and company. The picture quality of the 65" Q900B is amazing, and this was replacing an older Samsung flagship model. Setup was very easy from the Android app other than the universal remote. For whatever reason, the remote will not control the Xfinity X1 cable box although it was listed and searchable by model number as being a supported cable box. Looking into it further, this seems to be a Samsung thing with the X1 cable box going back several tv generations. I did find that disappointing considering the price. Previous customers going to Samsung with the exact same issue were apparently not met with much enthusiasm or commitment to resolving. Other than that, the picture and sound are excellent. The packaging is very well done. Delivery was quick, and I can almost claim that I couldn't be happier! *Samsung: Considering the popularity and significant number of customers on Xfinity/Comcast running the X1 cable box, fix the darn remote. For $5,000 your customers expect better.* ... show more

    • Best TV I have ever had
This TV does not get enough love. I tried the Sony 65 Inch 4K Ultra HD TV A95K Series: BRAVIA XR OLED Smart Google TV with Dolby Vision HDR and Exclusive Features for The Playstation® 5 XR65A95K, but this one is far better than that one. Happy to buy Samsung again.

    • Best ever LED... But still worse than mid-tier OLED
I desperately tried to love this display... Coming from an 83 inch LG C1 OLED, I was excited about the high peak brightness levels on the 85 inch QN900b, paired with near OLED black levels. Alas, after 4+ hours of settings switches and pixel-peeping, I'm returning it for the LG G2 83 inch. Pros: - Insane brightness, like 2500+ nit brightness - Impressive blacks (for an LED/LCD) - Faithful and saturated colors (after tweaks) - Q-Symphony sync with Samsung soundbar - "Infinity" bezel-free design - The BEST blooming suppression and backlight I've ever seen in an LED/LCD - Impressive shadow detail and near-black handling vs. OLED Cons: - The WORST OS of any major TV Brand... glitchy, slow, buried settings and input menus, BLOATWARE, etc. (Roku box solves this but for $7k we shouldn't need a Roku) - Washed out look when compared to OLED (regardless of gamma, shadow detail, contrast, etc. settings) - Brightness causes clipping in SDR and HDR even at lower settings, regardless of gamma - Odd artifacts when upscaling even normal 1080p (looks like incorrectly lit pixels) - Blurring in motion, regardless of judder/stutter settings - Lack of richness in gaming images (due to worse backlight control in game mode) - Bent bezel cover (may be isolated but the strip is THIN) Overall, side by side with the C1, this "flagship" was lackluster to the point of embarassment. Does it blow away the C1 on brightness??? Emphatically YES!!! But I preferred the OLED in 80% of content. - The Balrogs fire in bridge scene in Khazad-dum in FOTR looked punchy on the QLED but looked rich and polished on the OLED. - Blackwater Bay episode of GOT had better shadow detail on the QLED, but was by far more vibrant and textured on the OLED and never clipped the explosion details when the wildfire ignited. - Book of Boba Fett Ep. 1 again had more shadow detail in the QLED, but was so artificially brightened that it didn't look like pitch black night, as the scene was intended, and as the OLED showed. - etc. etc. etc. If you've never owned an OLED and you want the BEST LCD/LED ever made (for blooming and backlight control) then this TV is it. However, if you've ever lived with an OLED for a week or more (even an A1 or C7), the QN900B will be a step down for you. ... show more
