I have been a Mac user for 30+ years. This is the first time that I have stepped away from the rather pricey Apple monitors to try something new and different plus I needed something bigger than what Apple is offering. I bought this Samsung 43-Inch Class QLED 4K Q60D Series Quantum HDR Smart TV to function as the center monitor in a 3-monitor configuration with my Mac Studio Pro. I put a BenQ PD32205U on either side and it is a killer setup! You can read all about the tech stuff anywhere so I wanted write a brief review just to say what a great 'monitor' this is and how I was actually able to color match it pretty close to my properly dialed in BenQ monitors, which was a pleasant surprise. I use my Mac Studio Pro for photo & video editing but also for Logic Pro 11 in music production. I am also a private pilot so I have my system setup with the X-Plane 12 flight simulator to keep my skills up. I relegate the color critical demands to the BenQ monitors and use the 43" Samsung in the middle for general Logic Pro, Tools, video playback, word processing, Internet, flight sim, etc. I highly recommend this setup for home or studio and couldn't be happier. The picture is amazing and even the stand for this Samsung is elegant and rock solid. I for one have had great success with Samsung products from my Galaxy cell phones to our three 65 inch Samsung TVs in our home, and now this one in my studio. ... show more

This Samsung TV has the clearest and smoothest video and color quality of any TV I’ve ever owned. The sound quality is not bad at all by any standards and if set up in the right place sounds fantastic. The ports are all very accessible and set up in ideal spots in the back of the TV. Whether you use the Samsung Smart TV side or plug in an Amazon FireStick, it works beautifully. This isn’t the cheapest TV, but in a world where many TV’s over $1,000 are rivaled by this one, the value for money is fantastic. I replaced an older Samsung which suffered 2 lightning strikes (it still worked but had developed some odd screen spots. It is the Quality expected from Samsung, but like every other electronic, connected product, the function operations are unnecessarily difficult, not intuitive, and try to push toward subscription driven services. Just give me traditional air channels, internet connection and a remote with simple usable functions. Why does anyone want a remote that is nothing but a toggle button and direct buttons for Netflix or other subscriptions? I had to buy a retro remote with real and large buttons to preserve my sanity. ... show more

    • This model is most disappointing

We bought this TV to replace a 10 year old Samsung that was a great TV. This model not so much, it is beyond disappointing. The picture is just average, the sound is below average and the tiny solar powered remote is horrible. This TV will absolutely not turn off, you have to pair the remote before you try to turn it off each time and it normally takes 3 tries to get it to turn off. The instructions state you can turn it off at the bottom right side of the TV screen. Well, that doesn’t work either as the TV turns off then right back on as it does with the remote. We are planning on sending it back! Update: Unfortunately the Service Quick technicians, who were great guys, did not fix our TV (that would not turn off without unplugging it) on August 2, 2024. After they left our house that day TV still would not turn off with the remote or at the TV. A Samsung supervisor (Janie) called me on August 8, 2024, and told me the Service Quick Technicians would be at our house on 8/12/24 for yet another service call. During the conversation Janie said she believed we needed to remove the ROKU box from the TV to get it to turn off. She was correct! As a result, I called Samsung on August 9, 2024, to cancel the service appointment and was asked if I needed anything else. I said "yes can you help me with the ROKU Box Problem". I was then transferred to Technical Support and THANKFULLY spoke to Scarlette, who asked permission to take control of our TV remotely. 10 minutes later, thanks to Scarlette’s efforts, the TV would turn off with the ROKU Box still in use! Thank you Janie and Scarlette! I also need to add that in addition to fixing the ROKU problem Scarlina adjusted the picture settings on our new TV and the picture is now fantastic. **LESSONS LEARNED: Amazon was of no help in this entire two week process, stating we bought The Samsung QN65Q60D 65” TV from a third party vendor and the best Amazon could do for us was to file a claim for us. (We have the Amazon ad for this TV and it states our TV was bought and delivered from the Amazon Store). ** No more major purchases from Amazon. As part of the Amazon purchase for this new TV we bought the 3 year warranty from Asurion. They were no help and specialized in apologizing for all the stress and inconvenience we suffered with this TV not turning off. Asurion finally stated that their warranty was not valid because our TV was defective from the factory, before we took delivery. ** No more warranty purchases from this company. ... show more
